This is some good old fashion dirt racing. It is a shame so many may have stayed home because of the weather forecast but at least they are getting to watch it on tv. If they do this again next year, I'm packing up my slot car boxes and hitting a few slot car races out that way and go to the Bristol dirt race.

NASCAR was absolutely correct to wait out the relatively brief rain shower and make every reasonable effort to complete the event.

NASCAR was never thinking about throwing in the towel unless it actually rained. That was not even close to being enough to shut them down. It actually helped them get the track back in shape.
