Tony Stewart, imo, is the most talented driver since Dale Earnhardt.I would argue he was indeed the most naturally talented. His problem was always pairing a million dollar talent with a ten cent head.
We’ll never know.Besides the guys who established their careers on dirt I don’t have as much faith as Mike that these guys would be competitive on dirt in other cars. A disservice to premier dirt series and their drivers, imo.
What Mike failed to acknowledge is that those dirt drivers were dominating until the restarts, and following pit stops caused them both to start stage 3 outside the top 20.Besides the guys who established their careers on dirt I don’t have as much faith as Mike that these guys would be competitive on dirt in other cars. He's pretty much always been the most talented. There was never a point in his entire career where he was the most talented in the field. He was always like the second most talented guy.
