Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

They mention Blaney missed his pit...then "Blaney gets the lead fast off pit road"

"Ryan Blaney, quick off pit road gaining a few spots"

Rick Allen is clueless. Marty Snider just explained that Joey Logano almost turned him on pit road when he (Blaney) missed his stall.

First race on NBC. That's potentially a much larger audience. It's been promoted during the Triple Crown, the Stanley Cup Playoffs and on MSNBC.

I don't mind elementary things being explained during Daytona races, or Charlotte and Indianapolis.

ESPN does during College Basketball coverage.

And, as only a casual viewer of basketball, it drives me nuts when CBS, TNT and the ACC Network act like I should have expertise in the sport to follow what's going on. I still don't know what the damn possession arrow means.
STICK AND BALL ALERT
I believe it replaced the old 'jump ball'. In those circumstances where they previously would have had a jump ball, the arrow alternates between the teams to determine who gets possession. Mind you, I have no clue what those circumstances are...

Wow, Rick Allen. There was a camera showing Blaney getting hit and missing his stall. Then the pit reporter talked about it. Then Rick says that Blaney was fast off of pit road. OBLIVIOUS

I was watching the Daytona roof cam. Logano just drove into blaneys LR coming to his stall. Blaney damn near took out a 22 tire changer to avoid him.

Remember when everyone was asking why so much hate for Rick Allen?

Theres your answer. He's paid to plug sponsors, not commentate the race.
