True story. Not the orthodox protocol this year in terms of schedule, practice, qualifying.
I think that is evident in the top 15 layout.

So you’re telling me Kyle is only as good as he is, when he can have practice and everything? I might be reading this wrong, just trying to see if I understand what you mean.

Which I don’t blame you. I pulled for Dale Jr for years and he didn’t do much. I love that you are sticking with him, even when he’s doing bad.

Question is, would you stick with him if he ever was in a Chevy again? (which isn’t going to happen but yeah lol) I only ask since I don’t think you like any Chevy drivers.

I was a Kyle fan when he was in the junk 5 car.

Good.

I’ve seen plenty of people over the years who start to dislike a driver because of their make of car, or because they stop winning. To me that means you aren’t a real fan. Only reason to stop being a fan IMO is if they start acting different and they start to really change into someone who isn’t who you were a fan of.

To be fair, sometimes with teams you’re gonna have a car that might not be up to par with the rest of the team. The 5 was the weakest car at HMS.

I’ve been through a lot of drivers. Started out with Pearson because that was my dad’s guy when my dad took me to Ontario and Riverside. Went with Davey after that, when Davey died I went with Rusty, then Edwards...but I’ve been a Kyle fan since he drove a truck for Jack Roush.

My favorite was Jeff Burton when I was a kid, but also was a fan of Earnhardt and Earnhardt Jr. Chase is my top guy right now but I’m a fan of a few drivers.
