Cup RACE thread --- Iowa

Hamlin back on the lead lap but it doesn't matter... P34... wow
I read somewhere this week that this is Hamlins first race ever at Iowa while several other drivers have lots of xfinity series experience on the track. That's incredible considering he has run about 15k^2 races during his career.

Harrison Burton is always good about poking his head into the top half of the field each race, just to make you think he’s gonna have a good run.

NASCAR doesn't trust their own drivers. They're so fast on that caution button that they cant even crash a third of the way through before it's fully out.

That's on Cliff. Cliff said the tire was fine. Side wall stuff.

Larson was suspicious of the feel and said he didn't want to pit, but Cliff said "nah just pit man"

Rare mistake by Cliff.

Damn, Larson psyched himself out there.

Larson is faster than the leaders and he's running in traffic lolol

When you have one of the fastest if not the fastest car in the field, to err on the side of caution isn't a mistake with two stages to go.

Dude is gonna end up winning 10 more races.

He’s in a league of his own this year. Far far far far far better than the rest of the field in every aspect (driver talent, car, team).

Bowman gets clowned on a lot. Drivers don’t seem to respect him much.
