Cup RACE thread --- Las Vegas

And the most funny part is that Kyle already took a shot at the fine folks of Richmond International Raceway lmao they weren’t even close to being there yet.
 
While I get annoyed with the Rick Ware ****boxes being in the way every week, Kyle was out of line. He’s totally out of touch. He’s been in the best equipment the sport can offer since he was 16 years old. He even got a head start by being the younger brother of a superstar. He’s fortunate to have never had to slum around in the back of the field waiting for a break like some others have.

Kyle has never known what it’s like to be the guy clawing his way to the top. Driving hot garbage, just trying to stick around in this sport. He should be thankful for what he has. I’d love to see guys like Busch, Harvick and Logano ride around in the 66 Carl Long mobile for a few races. Bet they’d bitch and complain about their current situations a lot less.

I think the aforementioned guys would be competitive no matter what they were driving.
Smithley, however wouldn’t have been a top ten driver yesterday if he was in the 19.

Nah Busch, Harvick, etc. wouldn’t touch a top 30 driving that crap. It’s that many laps down for a reason and it doesn’t matter who drives it, they finish in the same spot every week

I don’t think anyone would be competitive in the 52, 53, 66 or any of those junkers. The driver can’t make up a 15mph difference in horsepower.

That’s NASCAR’s fault, not the #52 team. They set the minimum, they can change it. Until they do, the slower cars are legal and have as much right to be out there as Kyle does. It’s not like they showed up at Vegas for the first time. The disparity in speed is even wider in X but Kyle runs as many if those as he can.

The guy shot his mouth off in a post race interview. He’s not the first. It’s not worth this much attention.

not really anybodies fault, it's the rules of the series. And another follower of Cryle blaming it on something besides the wall or the car that he hit. To outlandish to use the wall, lets ignore that one, as yet another excuse for driving mistakes. He made not one but two big ones. I'm sure it was the team's or the car's fault he hit the wall on the second lap. Bottom line he had a horrible day, JGR less Truex did also, be a man and own it.
 
Maybe the " Wheelman" should have his vision checked.

Is it a legitimate 15 mph? All the cars are "flat footed" as you have said at Vegas. For one car to be 15 mph slower... You really think the talent discrepancy is THAT vast when everyone is wide open? That's gotta be a 5 second difference on the stopwatch.

Where they are all wide open at Vegas, no way in hell is a 15mph difference due to driver talent.

The top guys are flat-footed. The rest, like Smithley, are riding around.
The “15mph” figure was just a number.
The 52 was 7mph off of the pole speed in qualifying.

Politely waiting for rants about "team orders" when Chase slowed so Byron could keep his lap. I am sure that it's coming, but I just haven't seen it yet.
