Cup RACE thread --- Martinsville.

I'm still confused as to why there was a competition caution. I mean the track was far from green.

Interesting, Dinger is the only Chevy in the top 10.

ZL1 is looking to be quite the diva for the Chevy teams.

#9 team has picked up 4 spots in 1 stage.

Another long day looks like. Better hustle in the box.

Hamlin went 3 wide with lap cars going for a stage win.

Got hella lucky there. Im sure the #1 won’t forget it.

Yeah Stage Racing really sucks......
I wouldnt mind it if the race didnt have a predetermined yellow. It takes away green flag laps. End the stage, but keep it green, & I’ll find it more attractive.

Hamlin had the line, McMurray came down.
Oh please. No matter who came up or down, 3 wide rarely works here. Denny dove to the bottom in the middle of the stretch. Risky as hell and the damage was unneeded this early.

12 team pit crew is on fire today. Plus 6 spots already

Not seeing an HMS car near the front at Martinsville is weird.
Chase reported that run was better than the first, but they have a long way to go to get competitive. Bummer since Chase said they had good balance before the race.

So Hamlin was supposed to back off and possibly get turned from behind (Keselowski was right on his bumper) because McMurray chop blocked him?

I know you hate Hamlin because he wrecked Elliott, but damn, he did nothing wrong there.

I like the break....need to catch my breath if it’s someone I like or don’t. Plus you get a restart which allows more havoc...

Not really, that ended at Phoenix. Hamlin just made an uber risky move and he avoided disaster. Rhodes could have easily wiped out instead of saving it and taken out the top 3.

Big risk, big reward.

I have Hamlin on my pickem game today. Need him to do good :D

And if Hamlin backed out of it, he would've been turned by Keselowski.

These lapped cars aren't racing with any respect this year. I've seen a change in every race I've watched. I don't expect them to move over and let the leaders go, but I don't think it's okay for them to chop block the leaders and stuff.

Did we really need to put the race in a tiny box to show a bunch of stats about Truex's historic stats last fall? We already know......

Cars fighting for their laps have always made themselves wide, especially here. See Stenhouse vs KyBusch last season at MVille.

It's been noticeably worse this year. I've commented on it every race I've seen.

It's a matter of time before a lapped car takes out a bunch of leaders in a race this year. Or the leader decides he has to wreck a lapped car to get by.
