Cup RACE thread --- Martinsville.

It's been noticeably worse this year. I've commented on it every race I've seen.

It's a matter of time before a lapped car takes out a bunch of leaders in a race this year. Or the leader decides he has to wreck a lapped car to get by.
Hell, Keselowski did it at Dega several years ago. Lapped cars have determined championship outcomes in this sport.

I think your anecdotal obervations are just that.

This has been an extremely tame Martinsville race. When was the last time there wasnt a wreck based caution this far into it?

Long time ago, no need to turn the man into Pete Rose of NASCAR racing.

MWR is dead and everything else is dead and gone.
Wouldn’t be that way if Clint didnt stone face lie about it like a deer in headlights.

If he doesnt win another race it wouldnt effect me a bit.

Seems to happen a lot on these Monday races - but it will likely get interesting at the end.

(plus, they don't have Danica to kick around anymore)

It still bothers me that Truex was eliminated from the Chase and that it almost ended his career, yet Bowyer suffered no penalty and came out smelling like a rose.

Wondering if Kahne has any pride at all. Two laps down. Again.

Give them time, I think he's doing fine and doing whats expected so far.

He actually has the highest average finish better than McDowell, so far with a small sample so far, but honestly for the budget and lack of sponsors for LFR has Kasey's doing well.

Kasey is a has been, on a team not going anywhere.

I'm not in favor of awarding participation trophies.

I guess we arent gonna see if Chase has any damage after talking about him getting into #32.

Good job FOX.

What did you expect?

Brand new car, new driver, new CC, new a lot of things. Top 15-20 is about where they are going to run.
I expect better. PS- At the rate they are going they won't even be that "high".
