Cup RACE thread ---- Martinsville

Green flag, here we go!

Byron had gained 1.5 seconds on Elliott in about 5 laps. He looked blazing fast on the long run in practice too. As did Larson, but he has no clue what he's doing here.

Bigger brakes here means attacking entry more and having more roll speed middle on corner exit.

Laps are faster, but passing will be difficult because of it. At least that's how I see it, I'm more than likely wrong.

Elliott has been in traffic for about 15 laps
As has everyone else. Byron has it under 1 second now from 4 seconds back. He's just better on long haul/through traffic.

Larson asking if he's shifting too early.

He's just clueless about how to get around here.

Always happens at Martinsville harder for the leader to get through.

Byron just rolls right through the middle so smooth.

17 falling like a rock at the end of this stage

Yes but we've seen dominant cars like the 11, 48, 24, Elliott in the last two fall Martinsville race maintain big leads in traffic.

Byron closed from 4 seconds back and is fighting for the lead, the car just looks better rolling the middle right now.

Hello everyone btw, hope you’re all enjoying this race and your Saturday night!

The 11 just stops in the middle of the corner.
