TV ratings? Last year it was the most watched race of the second half of the season. More viewers than fall Talladega, more than July Daytona, more than Homestead.

People confuse their personal opinions with the behavior of the masses. It's Indy, that's all that matters. Moving later in the season will hurt the ratings somewhat. Nobody cares about the playoffs drama.

The balloons on the track at Indianapolis was the worse most dangerous debris I ever saw. I still have nightmares and spontaneous BMs due to the traumatix nature that happened there.

Huge difference between a ****** battery on the track and a yellow for balloons, water bottles, and wall decals.

Or, throwing a "debris" caution for imaginary debris to bunch up the field.
