Sounds like darkness could be an issue - has a race ever been shortened due to darkness before? I recall it getting dark at Martinsville a few years ago but they managed to finish. I think that was the one Gordon won.

I've been wondering that since 6 PM! Plenty of races have been shortened due to darkness! I've been to a few including the rather famous 2002 July race at Pocono that Bill Elliott won. That went 175/200 laps...

It wasn't shortened but Indy 2017 that Kasey Kahne won barely made it.
 
Hey that washed up ex champion in the 42 running top 10 again today. What a mistake it was to put him in that ride
