A win is a win. Biting your nails is a bad habit to start.

I would’ve liked to have seen strategies that didn’t involve fake yellow stage breaks.well true i doubt he really care how boring it is to us lol I know i would prob feel the same way if i was winning them.
Some were racing for the win and some were racing for points. I believe they do stuff like that. It's called racing.
I could definitely do without winning and earning the most points being mutually exclusive objectives. Somehow I watch a ton of other racing series that haven't created that dilemma. I enjoyed the race, would have liked it more if the #11 and #24 were focused on finishing up front at the end, not at the halfway point. That's just me.
The stooge points are wonderful. You can try to win the race or try to earn the most points, but not both. Oh the strategeries!
all of Truex Wins are boring he has yet to win an exciting nail biter race.

The winner should get the most points,
made sense the first part, let me know when that happens the second partThe winner should get the most points, NASCAR made a mess out of racing. Next we will have teams going all out for stage one points and then packing up and going home.

yep it only works like that I believe when they are at a road course. Some are racing for points and some are trying to be in a good spot for the last stage. Of course a caution could have shook the whole house of cards up, but it didn't happen. These guys are getting too good to make many mistakes. Last year Harvick's team screwed the pooch, and Busch tried to do it to Truex this year, but they were ready for him.Overall I don’t have a big problem with this points system, but the 19th place guy getting the 5th most points is a little messed up.

My opinion from the start has been that it is an entirely messed up construct, but that it's easy to ignore the flaws with most of the oval races because the points results aren't usually that far off what makes sense, and it does create the effect of intensifying the first half of the race. At road courses the problems are far more glaring.
Richmond? Homestead?all of Truex Wins are boring he has yet to win an exciting nail biter race.
Many times this year and last year a driver or drivers have scored more points than the winner due to stage points.Overall I don’t have a big problem with this points system, but the 19th place guy getting the 5th most points is a little messed up.
I liked the yellow Hertz paint scheme on the 24.

It didn’t help.Same
I agree with that. I'm neutral on the Carousel or the Chute here, but the Boot would be more of the slower, technical Sonoma-type racing that would detract from what Watkins Glen currently is for NASCAR - quick as hell and right on the edge.it don't really matter what they run aslong as they have stage yellows on road couses it gonna ruin the whole flow of the race.

Bonehead Award: Sonoma -- Chad Knaus
He took a top car capable of winning that race and instead went for points and handed his driver a 19th place finish.
Byron drove away from the field in Stage 1 proving car and driver were ready to step up for a realistic shot at the Win. But instead of keeping Byron at the front for Stage 2 and forcing other cars to beat him, Chad "managed" that race to grab points even though the speed and talent were there to stay up front and challenge for a Win.
I can understand if the car or driver aren't performing for a run at the Win -- then it makes more sense to grab points. But at some point he's got to turn Byron loose to dominate the race -- especially when he starts upfront and drives away from the competition from the get-go.
Jimmie and Chad may both need to move aside and let the youth movement thru.
