Cup RACE thread --- Sonoma

@Speedbowl14 is 100% correct and there is no denying that
Didn't say he was wrong, but the overall importance of both.

Of course, MJ is one of the biggest athletes in the world and for him to invest into NASCAR is a huge deal. So is Justin Marks, but Marks has the group in place there to be that next empire in Cup.

23XI has a lot of learning to do and its showed this season. We need these two teams to be successful and hell we need BJ McLeod and Tifft's organization. All of them have been fun to watch from the word go.

No. It pissed me off always hearing about the 23XI team and never anything about Trackhouse even though Trackhouse has ran circles around 23XI the last 2 years. All bc of the Hamlin/Jordan name. Meanwhile Justin Marks BUILT a team, from almost nothing, and now it's a race-winning organization. The Jordan/Hamlin organization is those two names just signing the checks...doubt they are really involved in day-to-day operations as much as Marks is.

Marks didn’t really build this team. Trackhouse is doing a good job of improving the program of what Ganassi had for sure. He bought it from Chip Ganassi. Justin seems like a good dude and passionate in trying to achieve his goals, but he has lots of help getting there.

First off, Marks bought a turn-key organization as well.

Marks last year had his cars built by RCR, they were in-house at the RCR shop and then bought out CGR that already had the infrastructure there to build off. Oh yeah, Marks has spent a lot of money on this operation and it shows. However, he has a nucleus in place to be successful and focus on his team.

Denny OTOH, has his own career to balance with JGR and with his own team.

Just respect what both of them have done, two wins for 23XI and three for Trackhouse in not even two complete seasons.

Trackhouse gets it's origins from Levine...ya know... the 25th place weekly organization. Last year they bought Ganassi. Better than a 25th place team but still not a top caliber organization. I refuse to believe that they have a better financial backing than Jordan/Hamlin and their McDonald's sponsorship.

To me, Trackhouse is 10x more impressive than 23XI. JMO. Less money. Small names. Small team. 23XI came in, was literally given the spotlight, and while they've done OK Trackhouse has done much more with much less

Please. Hamlin has the JGR/Toyota/McDonald's support and you and I both know that they're just throwing money at a car until it's fast.

We need both organizations but Trackhouse is much more impressive than 23XI and I like to see it.

23XI gets its origins from Leavine. Trackhouse aligned themselves with RCR, then bought Ganassi’s NASCAR assets

I can tolerate the Gerbils easier than Fox' poor camera selection. Watching NBC's Indy race today showed how a drone cam should be used on restarts, and that in-car cams should be reserved for when the car involved is actually battling for position and not just making laps.

I think Daniel just overtook Ross for best post-race celebration with the Piñata Punch 👊 🍬

Seriously tho, that was heartfelt at the end there, you could just feel how much this meant to him and how much hard work was behind it, beyond happy for him and Trackhouse.

You cannot tell us that Ganassi had more resources than 23XI with the Toyota/JGR/Jordan/Hamlin/McDonald's backing.
Justin was hardly down in the dumps beforehand

Marks, a 39-year-old entrepreneur who owns the GoPro Motorplex near Charlotte, said his family foundation is going to use investment capital to fund 50% of the operational budget of the team in the first year, and he’s looking for sponsors to fund the rest -- although he says he has a unique offer because sponsors will get 100% of the promotional assets since he will not be promoting his personal brand or businesses.

If you had told me when Trackhouse was first formed and Pitbull showed up to be the grand marshal for the Daytona 500 last year that I would become a fan of this team and of Daniel Suarez after watching them continually overachieve and get top-15 finishes week in and week out, I'd have laughed so hard. If you would have told me that they'd have two cars and three wins (so far!) this year, and Daniel Suarez would have one of the wins, I'd have laughed even harder. A year and a half later, I'm not laughing. I'm cheering. 🤘

Its amazing that we have fans here that think buying a charter from a defunct team means the defunct team has something to do with the new owners success when its a completely different car and operation. We need to upgrade our fanbase.

chips team just needed a owner that cared about nascar and open a check book,:owquitit:
