Cup RACE thread --- Talladega

At this point they're just milking more commercials and selling more beer at the concession stands. FFS

I've been trying to watch some while I'm at work, and every time I tuned in, saw a Hendrick car getting in a wreck. Bowman has had some awful luck these past couple months
How many cars have to wreck due to exactly what happened before these drivers realize they can't push that hard on a leading car. This just sucks so much for Bowman. His ill handling cars he has been driving most of the year already had him in a bad spot and now Chase just made it even worse for him. This shi-t is so frustrating.

FWIW, Stenhouse had a full second or two after Chase's bump to not get into the 48 so hard. That was a product of the package. This crap is what NASCAR wants

Looking at the radar, seems like the rain should end soon and there’ll be decent break where they might could get it in, probably depends on how long it’ll take to dry.

Assuming it gets called then NASCAR will be hoping like hell that Bubba's car doesn't fail post-race inspection

I respect what they're trying to do with the "First African American to win since Wendell Scott" talk, but I think the biggest compliment you could pay Bubba is to call him a race winning Cup driver, not a "Black" or "AA" winning Cup driver. Am I misguided? If so, I will gladly retract and I don't want to put words in Bubba's mouth.

Because he's probably on the edge of a panic attack and is walking it off? Lighten up man
Um, I was just wondering about the "team" thing. No need to lighten up.
I know I myself would panic at 190 mph for a few hours.Fortunately, he didn't have one of those while racing.

No snark intended. It's always hard to read the real meanings of posts about Bubba. My bad, man. I'm not even a Bubba fan but I recognize that this would be a significant moment for the sport.

Only reason I'd want that is that Bubba would still have a very good shot at it and Chase needs more points.

I'm not a big Bubba, Denny, or Jordan fan.

Jordan was always direct competition to my favorites in b-ball; I held a grudge :XXROFL:
