Which is what you're supposed to doExactly what it was. Doing what he could to get the best finish he could.

That wasn't the only criticism posted here over the last couple of laps.Just reporting what I heard on radio.
Pitting was a " no win situation" my friend. Track position was king. You needed to off strategy to catch the 5 and Jones was far enough up in the field that they had no way of knowing how many would stay out. They also had no way of knowing that Larson would put himself in the fence.
Staying out was the no win situation, given the information available at the time.
But Seriously Wallace didn't have any thing for Larson. Larson could have waited, he did that to himself. It's absolutely insane.

Whenever you have a major life event during race season let me know and I'll put it all on ByronByron won a race on my Birthday last month. And now he wins just two days after my car gets stolen! Always comes in clutch when I need/want it the most!
I'm just reporting what I saw on the onboard cam. Dude was aimlessly all over the race track. Nothing like what happened with Larson like some want to say.Just reporting what I heard on radio.
See ya next weekend!I'm so sick of Byron lucking into ****** wins.
Switching this **** off. What a joke.

He almost wrecked himself off of the nose of the 24 into turn 3 on the restart lap, and his momentum was shot from there.Bubba, how did you lose that one???
I did think he saw what happened to Larson and tried to repeat it. I can’t tell if you’re pointing at me. I didn’t see what he did to the 9 because tv didn’t catch it.That wasn't the only criticism posted here over the last couple of laps.

he was a featherless dart and blamed the 14 in interview. It is what it is.There’s a certain segment of the fanbase that will always criticize Bubba. The guy could race like Mark Martin and people would attack him for “not caring enough.”

He supposed to be happy?Cue the Jimmy Spencer crying towel...
Lets leave out the part where he said he(14) did what he’s supposed to do.he was a featherless dart and blamed the 14 in interview. It is what it is.
Bubba needs some anti-depressants. Dude did good.
I feel for the man tbh. I understand how it is. You come so close to doing something, then make a mistake. **** sucks.Bubba needs some anti-depressants. Dude did good.
I'm not a huge fan, but like him and today he won on my birtday.Byron won a race on my Birthday last month. And now he wins just two days after my car gets stolen! Always comes in clutch when I need/want it the most!
happy birthdayI'm not a huge fan, but like him and today he won on my birtday.
Good race, honestly.Bubba needs some anti-depressants. Dude did good.
If Larson gets caught up next week I promise you some others around him in points will too. Then just go have a solid run at the Roval which he should do.I don't buy it.
Talladega

Oh my God XDAt some point, it's not luck.
William Byron is one of the most talented drivers I've ever watched. When he ran Late Models, he was better than Chase Elliott in the races I saw them compete head-to-head in.
And the NextGen car is designed to emulate the type of racing you'd see on iRacing. Which, because of his background, benefits William Byron more than literally any other driver in the history of the sport.
He's not winning because of luck. He's winning because he's the most consistent driver since Mark Martin, he puts himself in position, and he's the king of close-quarters racing and shootouts.
At this point, he's the best driver in NASCAR.
Sure. I could say he's due for a good finish at Talladega. If Larson gets caught up next week I promise you some others around him in points will too. Then just go have a solid run at the Roval which he should do.
I don't wanna see this phoning it in stuff just to have you back on here in a few weeks when he inevitably makes the final 4 lol.
I didn't watch the post race and I am devastated thinking about missing the part when they shoot the toy cap guns in victory lane. Those big hats are really stupid. But golly that’s a hard hit for Larson, I hope he doesn’t have concussion symptoms as the week goes on
Big time facts, big time.Good race, honestly.
Last caution killed it, but he said it best himself earlier this week. That's the rollercoaster of anxiety, it will have the highest of highs. Sometimes the lows are just as bad, depending on the person, the floor will be different.
Good win for Willy B, Chastain needed a shot in the foot as well. Bubba did great, can't get it right all the time. Re-rack them for the next few weeks and get the most out of it.
Larson even said the back end just went around with no warning.I just finished watching the Larson crash and that was just good hard racing. I didn't see Bubba do anything wrong.
Those things are just embarrassing. I know they are a sponsor, but even I don't need the money enough to be caught dead in one of those stupid things.Could have gone without seeing Rick Hendrick wearing the big hat
Yeah. Happy he didn't wreck. He supposed to be happy?
The more he puts himself in those situations, the better he will become at getting the results he wants. The more you run up at the very front, the more good things happen to you. Ask William Byron.Bubba would be a championship contender if he could get out of his own head. The guy is incredibly talented.
