This is not unique to NASCAR. I am very willing to criticize NASCAR when I feel it is warranted, but other racing series adapt similarly to conditions as they develop. The decision makes sense if the goal is to get more green flag laps in.

Regarding Harvick's comments, I don't agree that NASCAR has no business racing in the rain across the board. It's a case-by-case thing, sometimes it is quite possible. Their TV partners that fund the sport clearly want them to figure out how to whenever possible, understandably.

I was thinking about the feel of rack and pinion steering vs. a steering box.

Also, an IRS vs. a live axle, but eh I think the cars will be better to handle on the road courses in the future. We'll see tho, good stage win by Ky. Busch.

Cars probably won't be as clumsy, but still fun to watch on road courses.
 
I don't hate the pylon but today, Fox is having it actually cover up the racing.

Just leave the leaderboard up top so I can see.

Glad they're broadcasting in 4K though.

If the trend continues they might just add that in the middle of the race too.

Bigger tires, better brakes, sequential gearbox, IRS...Kurt and Truex said it was better in every way through the infield at the Roval test.

Will look a lot better through all these technical 1st/2nd gear complexes at a clunky track like COTA.
 
if nascar wants to race in the rain all cars and trucks must have working full brake lights on rear bumps covers!!
