If I can't see driving 70mph how does anyone expect them to see at 150+? Some of you are ghoulish. No mercy at all. I PAY TO SEE YOU BLEED!Are you seriously comparing the interstate to a Cup race?

Highways have exits. Find a McDonald's. Not an option for these guys. One of the worst things you can do on the highway is stop, even if its in the emergency lane. If you can’t drive in a storm, you really shouldn’t be driving at all. Go in the slow lane and be vigilant, but don’t make yourself a sitting target by someone who isn’t paying attention or who has lost control.
I have literally drove millions of miles and have never pulled off to set out a downpour.I had no idea that a lot of this boards members have never driven a car in heavy rain on the interstate. Never pulled off and set out a downpour because they couldn't see. Just really surprised.
He’s not wrong but this is the same guy that hooked another driver infront of the entire field at Talladega just for ****s and giggles.Well he's not wrong

Or you could make your own decision and turn it off.IMO this is all on the drivers. Pit and get out. Say NOPE! We'll try this again under better circumstances. Do they need to kill somebody to make the fans happy?
I have pulled off in Florida.. a hell of a time getting back in.I had no idea that a lot of this boards members have never driven a car in heavy rain on the interstate. Never pulled off and set out a downpour because they couldn't see. Just really surprised.
Not for a series that is not acclimated to it.Racing in the rain is an art form
The leader isn't the problem. It's 10 cars back that can't see. This isn't even remotely hard to understand. Ghoulish. Let's see who survives!Reconisecence laps I think would be a massive help.
Use the pace car to find out of visibility is good enough to go out. If the track is too wet, etc. Limits can be found quickly, even with street performance cars. That would be a massive step to be prepared for racing in the rain.
This is why F1 is able to find out if a track is safe enough to go out in the rain with these laps.
Check the track surface on non-race weekends. It shouldn't take long to find the worst spots. Drop a couple of sensors on the shoulder in those areas. When they report a certain amount of moisture, throw the rag.Reconisecence laps I think would be a massive help.

The All-Star race can be canned, I wouldn't miss it.Today’s cluster almost makes me miss the All Star Race which is the race that traditionally took place on this weekend
They couldn't get rights to Leader of the Pack.Is the track PA system really playing Working At The Car Wash? Lmaoooo savage.
or Africa by Toto. They couldn't get rights to Leader of the Pack.
Ok, lets shut it down! Ok guys, put them in the trailer!! You NASCAR drivers are novices and shouldnt be in the top line of the sport! The leader isn't the problem. It's 10 cars back that can't see. This isn't even remotely hard to understand. Ghoulish. Let's see who survives!
Nope, Im at home and I know everyone of the drivers would roll their eyes at you. This is why you watch and we raceSo…you can’t say? You’re here so you aren’t on the roof today at the Cup race.
I can get fiction at the library. Thanks for playing.
I think today’s experience can also be cannedThe All-Star race can be canned, I wouldn't miss it.
Theres a good chunk of time on the radar where there won’t be any moisture in the atmosphere, will make for interesting tire strategy if the racing line starts to dry and then the rain returns.Lets hope things go better from here on out.
NASCAR has found out the absolute limit of these cars in these conditions.I think today’s experience can also be canned
This is not even closeSo which is worse this or the indy tire debacle?

I enjoyed our rain delay Main Event Brouhaha. A welcome distraction to the chaos on trackHalf this thread: COTA comments.
Other half: Pissing contest and bitching about wet feet.
Why do you think the next gen car will be better here?NASCAR has found out the absolute limit of these cars in these conditions.
They have to make changes with the car in the future, if they decide to come back here. I like COTA for the series, but I think the next car will be a better fit here.
