Cup Series Finale at Homestead

Hamlin is starting waaaaaaaaaaaay back and his day - along with his cup dreams - could end early.

Johnson will keep a keen eye on Hamlin and react accordingly, I suppose.

A couple of slip-ups and Harvick walks in and steals it away from the both of 'em.

Good stuff...enjoy the race, people.

Pre-race on ESPN2 as ESPN airs NFL pregame shows (which is also on CBS, FOX, ESPN News, MASN, NBC local and CSN). I normally don't care about pre-race or anything, but that's just asinine.

Bad enough everybody where I work who wants to see the race doesn't know what channel it's on (they all thought NBC).

ESPN's coverage is great and I've said that 100 times this year -- but the Chase races should be on ABC.

A few of the Fords look good and I'm always pulling for #17 but I'd say watch out McMurray.

Do they people where you work have internet access?

When they said "and now, to sing our National Anthem, the winner of this years Celebrity Apprenitce...." I damn near threw something at my TV. When will they learn??

There are A LOT of empty seats! And Homestead-Miami Speedway only seats 65,000.

No excuse for a Championship race being that empty. Then again, Homestead is the worst place to watch a race. Expensive tickets, can't bring anything in the track.

The best thing about points being as close as they are, there should be no points racing. I think all three of them know that they pretty much need to win today. Denny is the only one that can afford to somewhat points race, but he's still got to run hard enough to stay right behind the 48.

Denny has to be smart early or he could end up in the wall. He starts deep.

I actually find myself anticipating this race as much as the Daytona 500

Harvick and Hamlin are going to look like wild things driving through the field in these opening laps!

GREEN FLAG!!!

Dear television, points are not awarded until the end of the race. Please stop saying "points as they run now.". Frankly, it's dumb.

The now #48 crew leads by one position over the now #24 crew :D

Jimmie is getting up front early! Hamlin seems to be hanging around back, and eh there's nothing Harvick can do unless Jimmie and Hamlin screw up somehow.

Hamlin needs to put his foot to the floorboard and haul it! I swear I will kirk if JJ wins it again.

I think what happened at Phoenix scared him, so he doesn't want to run out of fuel again, so he's playing the conservative game today.
