Hendrick could probably sponsor most all of his cars if he had too, the guy is loaded.Hendrick can sponsor his own team I believe if it really comes down to it.
I have insider knowledge (I really really do, I wouldn't lie to you). Juniors is simply overwhelmed with offers to represent many appealing prouducts. An entire new retailer may be created just to fit the diverse array under a single label (umbrella or sceme).
A helpful exhibit of the marketing opportunities are posted below.

haha, good line.Earnhardt Jr fans are well accustomed to waiting.
Yes, just one release. I sign an application, card gets mailed to my house, I sign the back of it, good to go all season!Do you guys just have to sign a release waiver one time at the first of the year and then your hard card is good for the whole season? That's how it's done at Nhra...so, no standing in long azz lines at the credentials trailer at each race.
It would definitely be good to get NS into Nascar in some capacity. I also can understand the argument from both sides. I know most of the motorsports teams that i have worked for like to get at least a 3 year deal so they can plan ahead. But, that is gettting harder to do, so i understand why more teams are now signing a major sponsor for a 1 race deal.Yes, just one release. BTW, back on topic, I found out the reason the #88/Norfolk Southern deal fizzled out is because they couldn't agree on term length. HMS wanted a 3 year deal, NS wanted a 1 year deal. I can see the argument for both sides. Jr is the number one seller in NASCAR...HMS doesn't want someone coming in for just one season, and then trading off that season for years and years to come (pictures, video, ads, gear, die-casts etc.) On the other hand, NS has never been in NASCAR, and Jr isn't cheap - so it's a reasonable response to balk at committing to 3 years. In any event, I hope NS finds their way into the sport in some capacity.
You do know his farther was killed at Daytona. I thought the same thing after two bush championships.I'm just pissed that things haven't turned out for Junior like I thought they should of. OK I know he's not Dale Sr, he's his own man blah blah blah yeah yeah. All i'm saying is can I get at least 2 wins a year & A championship maybe. I remember thinking back in 04 that Jr was gonna be the second coming but this was gonna be a combination of Dale Sr & Tim Richmond. By now we were gonna have 2 or 3 driving titles & maybe another daytona 500 win. Jr's supposed to be the one winning those Nationwide 300 milers at daytona to start the year the way Tony's been doing. Now i dunno if he just doesn't care, isn't focused, lost his edge, or just isn't any good anymore but it sure doe's suck watching him as pretty much an also ran every year. Maybe it's that crappy number 88, Theresa should've just let him have the number 8. Dale Jarrett had that nasty 88 on his car when he beat Sr at daytona in 96. Theresa should release the 8 for Jr & then they need to make the primary paintjob the darrell waltrip retro mountain dew scheme. Maybe that would change his fortunes. Whatever, seems he's the last of the Earnhardt line for now because Jeffrey's luck is horrible, I wonder if he even wanted to drive or if Kerry pushed him?

20 races, same as 2013.Will National Guard stay with Jr.? Haven't heard anything or are they cutting back?
Define "competitive team". Most that I would consider "competitive" operate around $400-500 a race. Total spending might vary based on motor coaches, private jets, team hotels, hospitality, and lots of other lifestyle items, etc etc etc...but you can put a car capable of winning any race on the track for under $500. And, since most teams are owned by rich guys who really enjoy the lifestyle (read: hobby), most are willing to break even, if not lose a little just to relieve some financial pressure. So, a top tier team sponsorship can still be had for $400ish a race. Jr, JJ, Gordon, Danica, Smoke will be more....but just about every other can be negotiated for under $500/per.Main problem is engineering expense everyone has to have now has exceedeed the limit most potential sponsors can justify to participate in this current economy. A good car and engine is now $200K per race. The entire cost for a competitive team to do one event is $800K now.
