Two of the three have had very serious concussions. Thanks to Dale Jr they weren't afraid to say, I'm hurt, then take the time to heal.

In case you haven't figured it out. Most if not all women don't have the macho thing going on and have the common sense to get medical help. Man can have half a finger hanging off and say get me some duct tape.

Black electrical tape is the best thing if you are in a situation were you don't want anyone to know that you just cut off half of your fingers. It wraps real tight and will stop the bleeding, and it is light enough to keep working after you are taped up.

Duct tape is such a wide band that will limit the ability to get anything done with the fingers.

You could probably tape your finger with duct tape in the stationary position to shoot everyone a bird, but that would be the only remaining useful function

It's best to tape two together for a splint. Duct tape is the way to go. You can still use them for the rest of the day until you go to the emergency room after work.

You’re right as most women have the common sense to seek help while guys carry on. I’ve had really good luck with super glue with smaller cuts & gashes.

Most the time I dont have the sense to know I hurt myself. All of a sudden I'll be bleeding or notice a bruise....huh? How did I do that? I think I cooked my brain too much at work.

That one was on my head when it happened

In hindsight, I am behooved to clarify a few things from the previous post.
If you were to decide to utilize the black tape while on the job, a few things need to be understood.

If you can make it to a restroom without creating a trail of blood and anyone being aware of the incident, that will be your best option.
Always carry some black tape in your pocket and dress the wound(s) in the privacy of the stall.

If the cut is severe enough to need any assistance, it is important to only get help from someone you absolutely trust. They must tell the same story if there are any future investigations about the incident. This trust can not be emphasized enough.

If you can not meet the above conditions, you must abort the private self help approach and allow the company nurse or personnel to address the situation. You will need to immediately commit immediately to one of the above methods, and there is no going back.

If investigated, you must report that you had actually cut your fingers at home and only decided to utilize the black tape while at work to make the previous bandages more secure.
Never admit to an on the job injury that wasn't reported at the time of the event.

If it is not a life and death situation, you will be better off without any medical assistance connected to the third-world workman's comp racket.

Remember to stick with your original story when the clipboards show up to investigate. The people who care have a job that is invested in maintaining that all of the defined work processes are safe. They are there to figure out any unsafe acts you may have committed and possibly help you with some corrective discipline.

In consideration of all the above, the black tape is still better than the duct tape. When the clipboards show up to investigate, you do not want to present your duct taped finger to them (remember it was duct taped with the middle finger in the stationary position).

In this case we had to get somebody to pull the nail out of the finger and get him loose from the stud, didn't break the bone, framers always have duct tape. You really don't need too many working fingers to use a nail gun. Blood makes is slippery though so you want to get the pesky bleeding slowed down or stopped until the boss shows up to take him to the emergency room. Boss pays cash, what's workman's comp?

Most women haven't had the name Wally Pipp pounded into their head since childhood.
