What turns it silly , is the mere mention of women. These guys have been calling out Danica with the same stuff for years . Why not just admit it .Women are awful . There, it's done. We can move on to racin.

Tony and Kurts biggest recent problems have not been the hardware.
Before Tonys two open wheel problems he demonstrated results. He also took a performance hit when he let Darian Grubb go.

Those cars have proved they are solid enough with the right people.

Aside from a win and a few top-five finishes, Kurt wasn't really a factor at all last year. IIRC, out in the first round.

I dont think that Knobbs guy knows what he's doing.

Kurt did improved some when the switch was made between CCs.

So I guess HMS is voodooing the pieces going to SHS except for Harvick's cars. The probably get tagged as cars built for Kevin only, with restrictions that prohibit the others.

I guess Rick has hated Danica all the time with the counterfeit sub quality cars, she has been getting.
The problem couldn't possibly be Tonys physical and emotional distractions that actually sidelined and parked him , Kurts sainty, or Danicas capabilities.

Yeah Knobs(lol) is not my fav guy. I liked Big Tony. He looked like a dad to her almost. Loved he was protective of her. I will remember forever his call to her when joey dumped her and she wanted to retaliate "Well...go ahead"

You know ted, he is right. Stand has mentioned that he is a follower of Simona De Silvestro on indycar threads and hopes she does well. Hes not a Patrick fan, simple as that.

Can we cut some of the Danica hate?

I'm not saying Danica's a top-five driver who's struggling because she's in a 35th place car. Everyone's acting like she's got a top-five car and finishes 35th in it. Stewart was pretty consistently running outside the top-20 before his injury in 2013.

So, it is possible that Danica's equipment is not as great as everyone thinks and it is possible that she might score a few wins in the next few years. I don't think anyone's saying she's the next Jimmie Johnson.
 
What may hurt Danica though is that she ran poorly in the same JRM equipment that Chase Elliott and Regan Smith finished 1-2 in the points with last year. She really needed more time in Nationwide. That's not a Danica problem though, you could call Casey Atwood and have an at length conversation about what happens when you're brought up too soon.

I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about an idiot but there is a thread about Johanna Long that turned into a discussion about how women can only run 30 lap races (the Snowball Derby, which Johanna won was 300 laps) and only win because their cars are good and they have more opportunities than men because of Drive for Diversity.

He almost won the Phoenix race and nearly had Homestead back in 01 though.

He had a tire go down that day along with Rusty and I dont know if nerves got him at Homestead or what but he was poise.

Casey Atwood had several things go against him. The Dodge camp struggled all year, as a whole. After 2001, Mayfield was hired and put in his car and Atwood was moved to a start-up team. And nobody would've thought Atwood underperformed if Harvick hadn't lit the world on fire when he took over Dale's car.
 
Atwood got screwed when Evernham pawned him off on Jim Smith so he could sign Jeremy Mayfield. His career never really recovered from the disaster that was his 2002 season. I don't think he ever had a full time Cup ride again.

Comparing Danica to Atwood is probably unfair. Danica has been in her top-tier equipment for longer than Atwood was in his.
 
My problem is , no matter if she is a 25th place driver or a 35th pace driver , every thread has to be infected with Danica hate . Very few of us believe that a 25th place driver deserves the amount of attention that she gets on this forum. Start a thread about peanut butter and see how long it takes for the Danica hate to infect it .The simple fact is , that this is still a male dominated redneck sport and women need not apply.
