Darlington Pre-race Race Thread

Danica's problem is that Indy car drivers don't know anything about driving a loose racecar.
She could really benefit from a little time in a dirt car.
 
it is already rolling in. and will continue to do so until either she starts winning or the novelty of having a woman in cup wears off witch I doubt. Too many "fans"

She has had a lot of issues that were no fault of her own though.
 
My point is, more money would come in if she was better. It's an easy concept. I'm not even saying she has to win now. but who knows, Danica may get passed over by the next rising female..
 
I don't see much changing on the cup level, I only see one driver in a lower level that they will part the seas to get him in cup and that is Kyle Larson. Mark Martin might slow down even more, but Danica isn't going anywhere unless she wants to get out of it, and I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. So there might be some moving around, but not many new faces. I always have to remember that Danica is not there because of her driving skills for the most part. She can hold the wheel, is in a good car with unreal backing for her skill level, and like my dad always said.. even a blind sow can find an acorn. sooner or later she will have a good finish. Plate tracks or a road race are her best chances IMO.
 
The busch boys have sure given their Mom a pretty good Mothersday weekend so far. Two poles and a win and it's only Fri. What are they going to do tomorrow to out do today...tie for the win!:D

If he doesn't finish in the top ten, I'll be shocked. A win is not a lock but he knows how to get around Darlington.

Speaking of the weather, I looked on weather.com. if it does rain, I think they won't be able to get going again.. Rain is in the forecast til 4am..

if they started the race at 6pm, they could possibly get the whole thing in since the forecast is saying rain for 9pm..
 
another long shot..Stenhouse 50/1 , qualified really well, didn't tear up his car in practice and was fast in practice.
 
Sucks that I gotta work tonight :mad: Maybe the rain will extend the race and I can see some of the end!
 
I'm a little surprised the KyBu is ahead of Johnson in odds but I'm putting my money on #5.
 
I would not mind if Denny Hamlin smacked the wall right off the bat. Hard enough to park it.
 
Doesn't it seem funny that people that are supposed to be real race fast are saying that they want to see Denny hit the wall? This young man is recovering from a broken back, if he hit the wall chance are he will be hurt. Is this what you wanna see? A young man maybe in a wheelchair for the rest is his life? I don't like either Bush brother but would never wish harm on them just my 49 cents (inflation)

When you say that someone with a broken back should hit the wall you are saying you want to see him hurt. No other way to look at it . Why not say you want NASCAR to park him same result without anyone getting hurt

sorry dude, nobody said anything about him getting hurt..only your imagination and overreaction. BTW the egg heads have crunched the numbers and it doesn't look good for Hamlin this year. be interesting to see if he can prove them wrong.

I think his point is that it's pretty ****** of a "race fan" to want anyone to wreck, especially knowing that said person is already injured and any wreck, especially one that is "hard enough to park it" could very well result in making the injury even worse.
