Daytona Duels Race thread

I'm laughing.

It was 25 and overcast today with snow flurries and I went outside and said "Oh, it's a nice day out today"

That's speaks volumes about how ridiculous the weather is like up here.

what's the hold up, start the second duel, it's past my bedtime already.

I was hoping no one would see it before the edit

I mean, Ty drives the same 3 in the Xfinity Series so my first mistake wasn't totally inaccurate.

I guess you could technically say Ty's car has two of those same 3s on his NSCS car. lol

No biggie.

Oh my...

Larry, tire wear at a plate track does not make that great of a difference in 60 fvcking laps. He should know that better than anyone else.

Waltrip has won 3 all star races, and races in Arca, K&N, Trucks, N'wide, and 4 Sprint cup races including Daytona and Talladega. Not fantastic, but better than some running ifull time in cup today.

Micheal Waltrips performance in the old Daytona Dash/ Goodies Dash/ International Sedan series is his most impressive performance. He was an animal in those old 4 cylinder 67 HP beastly cars.

Sir Michael won 8 of 33 races for a 24% winning percentage, and he was the 1983 champion.

Remember when the FOX announce team was the best announce team in NASCAR?

It's sad how much dumber Larry Mac and DW have gotten.

What's taking so long to start the second dual?

Even though FS1 is saying otherwise. You can be pretty damn certain that the 4 more drivers that miss the 500 come from this duel.

Cause of the 8 drivers who finished outside the top 16 in that first duel:
Almirola
Kenseth
Keselowski
Bayne (via Edwards owner points)
(Are all locked in either via speed or owner points)

Allmendinger (13th in owner points) is a virtual lock.

Michael Waltrip had glory days?

That's debatable who's dumb here.

Will you stop? Do you work for Fox Sports?

Commentary across the board (MLB, NFL, NASCAR) has gone downhill at Fox.

Go back and watch a 2001-2004 race, DW and Larry Mac's analysis was so much better than what we get now. It's pretty clear that they're under pressure to push certain things.

The cold weather up north aint so bad. If it makes NY Yankee fans suffer, it is a wonderful thing.
