Daytona Pre-Race Race Thread

The pre-race show on FOX could end up being the longest pre-race show in the history of pre-race shows...

And they will have to do it all over again on Monday and/or Tuesday as well, most likely.
 
Awefully thankful Hammond clued me in on the flashing gauges for the 28th time this weekend......because ya know, it's something all us fans can watch for....

They want you to pay a hundred bucks so you can watch the gauges on track pass on you computer

I still remember last year when DW had his hands all over Danica's leg. She looked horrified. When they came back from commercial, DW was moved to another seat.
 
I mowed my lawn, trimmed some bushes, replaced a sprinkler and put my trash barrels out while the rain delay has been dragging on. They need to effen call this race already! This is redonkulous...

My good freind just sent me a text about the rain situation... look for an anouncment sometime around/before 6pm is when Nascar says they will pull the plug and schedule the race for Monday morning at 12:19. I know many of you won't believe me and want to call me a troll but time will tell and you will see that I was telling the truth the whole time. My good freind has worked with Daytona and Nascar for the past 11years and I have known her for the past 20​
 
Wow, looking at the forecast for MONDAY, I thinks I will go into a chemically induced coma, and wake up tuesday.

Let's hope not. They are making progress on drying the track.
 
It's normally 2 - 3 hours. But one has to consider that the temps are dropping and the humidity is high so they will get no help.

Monday looks bad and Tuesday looks bad too... Anyone for running the Daytona 500 in April? The first open weekend is Easter Wekend. I suppose that they could run the race on Saturday, 4/7/2012
 
Well, that sucks, the race is officially cancelled until tomorrow.
 
Well, if they can figure out how to keep the race in the cooler evening, they might escape the overheating issue. Maybe Monday night is a good thing.
 
It's all they talk about on tv when you watch the broadcast. They always put up graphics with tweets and twitter usernames to follow. It gets very old after awhile.
 
Poor Mikey he's been rode hard all day by DW.now he's gets to do it again tomorrow.
