Daytona Pre Season Testing

Chevy... Toyota.... Chevy... Toyota... Chevy... Toyota...Chevy....Chevy....Chevy.....................Ford

At least that Ford is Joey and its single car runs but thats not a good sign for this guy.. its early lol

I'm looking forward to seeing Harvick and Kurt on the track.

There's a huge difference between practicing and racing. Don't get ahead of yourselves
You are right, because you never know what they are working on each time they go out. But, it is still fun to see some cars on the track even if it's not the finished product.;)

JJs run way more laps than everyone.. 25.. and the next highest is 12 lol... why don't more people do what theyre doing? It seems to be working for them

Brad had better be careful, or Roger will be putting Rusty in the 2 car for the 2014 season. For the ones here that takes everything so seriously...i'm just joking. LOL

Now you have my attention, so, could you be a little more specific and give me a little clue where to look? I would love to see them.
He must be talking about the cheater slicks that I had on my 1970 Torino GT. :)

Daytona 500 qualifying is the only qualifying format to stay the same this year...more details towards the end of January.

I think they'll do European style qualifying like they do at the Martinsville Late Model race and at the road course races.

If I'm right, it's a good move. I'd like to see them evolve and do heat races in 2015. Sounds like there's gonna be a lot of changes come 2015. I like it. It'll piss the purists off something awful but I like it.

Either of those would be a step up from what they have now. Once they stopped doing the order by practice speeds it got to be pretty boring again, unless we got a really lucky draw.

It's clear NASCAR's going to be making a lot of changes to make for a better show. As I said, it'll piss the purists off something awful but NASCAR's seeing exactly what most people who tune in to the races are seeing ... the product as a whole needs to be improved and things need to be done to attract new fans.

I keep waiting for the Austin Dillion interview about being the fastest and wearing a cowboy hat. That will piss off more than the purist's. He is spanking them down there.

They will still do it I bet, just like they do in cup despite all efforts to stop it. they will for sure run together in the closing laps, shooting water out like a steam engine..When you think about it, they can't change that on RP tracks, they ride around until the closing laps and then it is go time.

FOX will do ANYTHING to tell Earnhardt stories. FFS, they're already comparing Dillon to Earnhardt and then following it up with stories about stuff Earnhardt said and did. This is going to be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG season.

dude, if Dillon wins the Daytona, there won't be enough room for the former three haters to jump on the bandwagon...don't you know anything?

The first two minutes of Fox Sports 1's inaugural primetime NASCAR Sprint Cup Series broadcast consisted of two old Earnhardt stories, Larry McReynolds declaring Austin Dillon the 2014 Daytona 500 winner and 2014 Sprint Cup Series Championship and Darrell Waltrip telling us how Austin Dillon is exactly like Dale Earnhardt.

**** me senseless.

I'm pretty sure they are being forced to say those things. Politics.

I doubt it. Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds will do ANYTHING to throw in an Earnhardt reference followed by old Earnhardt stories. No wonder the sport can't attract new fans.

I wouldn't mind rooting for the kid myself, but i already have a full house and i don't really want to drop anyone. But, i have a feeling before the Daytona 500 i may have him in my final picks of drivers to root for. Decisions, decisions... my life was so much easier before i became a nascar fan.:D

So, yeah, this guy they're showing now and not talking about, he's a six time and defending series champion and future first-ballot hall of famer.
