I'll be the first to admit, I thought Jeffy was done for this year. But what a run he's been on lately, got to hand it to the 24 team.

So I thought I'd stop by and pose a question to you guys...does he still need a new Crew Chief? Is Alan Gustafson still a bum? Or should it be status quo heading into next year?

I seem to remember Gordon fans whining about Steve Letarte a lot before Alan Gustafson came on board... they won't be happy until Ray Evernham is back on his pit box.

That'd be sweet.

I dont think Alan is going anywhere after what Gordon said in the presser. Guy is there to stay apparently.

jeffy has always understood "team speak". he says the right thing at the right time. I wouldn't take that press conference as carved in stone. jmo

All year long, Alan Gustafson has been beat up on this forum, often time landing in the "bonehead" threads. By multiple people. And suddenly, someone starts this thread in the middle of a race, and gets beat up? So, a single win erases all those previous bonehead votes then?

I think the irony is what makes this thread so damn funny, and why people are beating up on op.

I dunno man, Stevie has had Junior running pretty darn good for the last couple of years. No, he's certainly no Chad Knaus, but I don't think people give him enough credit.
