Denny's replacement named

Wow, Mark Martin will race Martinsville for Hamlin, and that's it. He's ot, and Vickers will take over after that.

It seemed odd that Aaron's would let Mark out of the 55 to drive the 11. They don't even sponsor the car when Mark is out of it and Vickers is in it. Brian has been really good in limited opportunities so hopefully he continues that in the 11.

Let me see if I get this right, Mark at Martinsville only, with Vickers in the 55 at Martinsville. after that they all go back to their orignal schedule, Right. So we have no idea who will drive the 11 after that, presumbly for 4 more races?

Basically. That's what I've gotten out of all this.

Martin drives at ville, then Vickers drives until JGR figures out how to get Sadler's name back in this mess.
I haven't seen Vickers name mentioned yet driving the 11, all I read was something about a conflict with other commitments?
I would think the names Michael McDowell and Bubba Wallace have been thrown around a few times too.
I know of another driver that would jump at the chance................Mayfield, that is if it doesn't conflict with his jail time commitments.

Isn't Kenny Wallace the back up you get when you want to underperform?

I like Sadler but he don't have what it takes to compete in Cup. Hell, he couldn't even win the Nationwide championship last year against a driver who's been less than mediocre in Cup.

I wouldn't say that Stenhouse has been "less than mediocre" in Cup. He's 12th in points, just 2 points behind Kenseth, the driver he replaced. Not bad for a rookie.

I'd say that Sadler is comparable to Vickers as far as cup goes. Although Sadler isn't one of the pretty boys so that may play into the decision.

@nascarcasm
This is like the sitcom episode where the parents leave for vacation thinking a relief driver is in place, then wacky hijinx ensue.

Well whoever drives won't be able to see soon.
