Dinger offered the 47, Labonte a spot in the JGTD Organization 2014

Mark McArdle has left his post with Furniture Row Racing and will work full time as director of operations for RCR.

The move comes at a time when RCR is looking to fill the ride vacated by Kevin Harvick and hoping to retain its technical alliance with Furniture Row and is in exploratory discussions with JTG-Daugherty Racing to add the organization's No. 47 team to the fold as well.

not trying to ruffle feathers, but the gal that wrote the article is pretty much full of you know what.
This didn't happen..not saying it could, and the JTG deal? haven't heard a thing yet either from the principals involved. Just rumors right now.

"An announcement regarding Newman could come between now and Bristol race weekend on Aug. 23 -- with a new twist to the story. Newman's crew chief Matt Borland could be part of the equation as a package deal for RCR."

Well I guess if they announce it tomorrow you can continue to ignore it.

well, I guess I can whine about AJ getting better equipment than your Bobby got when it isn't for sure he is going to get it..just make it up ya know?

What have I made up? Reports of JTGD aligning with RCR have been on this forum for over a week now. I didn't pull it out of thin air. So what if a report doesn't fit your argument we shouldn't talk about it and just ignore it?

Don't know what the heck you are talking about here..Ignore what? That report in the article you could say is a lie..didn't happen times up, it is the 31st and no Ryan going anywhere..same gal said the JTG deal..with RCR..hasn't happened..the only thing she got right is the personnel change from Furniture row to RCR. That had already happened so she got that part accurate. Sorry dude, you go ahead and speculate, I'll wait until I hear it from a reliable source before I act like it is a done deal.

You do know others have said the JTGD to RCR report too right...

Bob Dilner who is constantly in the garage area, not just some reporter 1000 miles away, said he's hearing not only will they announce AJ as the driver but also a manufacturer switch to RCR chevys. Oh and Larry Mac said the same thing last week. Either of them have any credibility?

I have no problem w/ them making a change in driver, it just sucks that next yr they could be running the same stuff Kurt Busch is running now, Bobby never had that.

If you think that "Bobby" or "A.J." can do what Kurt did with an RCR motor and a small crew. Welcome to fantasy land.

AJ will be strong on the road courses, but no he's nowhere near the driver Kurt Busch is. Not the point anyway, I was just saying that it sucks that Bobby drove JTG chassis' w/ Triad motors and now that they're making a change to quality equipment he's being pushed aside.

Bobby cant but AJ has potential to do pretty damn good.

AJ won't make the chase, but I think he'll finish anywhere from 15th to 20th in points and be a factor @ Sonoma and WG. It'll be an improvement due primarily to the equipment upgrade, but I wouldn't say it'll be pretty darn good.

It was announced today that A.J. today is driving the car. But nothing about a different car. So far the triad toyota is what he is driving. He did get a top 10 with it on a road course.

Yeah AJ is a very good road racer, Ambrose did well on those tracks as well. But those tracks are not about HP or aerodynamics, how'd AJ do on the ovals in the 47? He finished 19th and 22nd. We'll see how he does tomorrow, he starts 13th, but that's only because he qualified last. Bobby finished 19th in this race last yr, I'm thinking AJ does about the same.

If he outperforms Labonte and I mean IF, it isn't going to be by much in the same equipment..same for same. He has a three year deal, just like Labonte had..run the races on a shoestring and win what ya can. A.J. has the advantage on road courses, but they don't pay that great...Daytona is the big money maker for a team like this.
