DIY Projects

Here's just one video. He's had it for a few months and has never needed the plunger, a problem he had before. Calls it turdzilla

Just caught this, what throne did you get? My brother installed a Cadet 3 recently. I think there's video's of it in action.
Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Whatever was on sale at the time @ Home Depot. Whatever brand it is, it does the job.

Thread revival!

I've recently completed a couple real easy projects around the house. One was a nightstand at my wife's request. I built one for her side of the bed, and I'm currently working on one for my side. Here's the end result....

I wish she would have picked a different color of stain, because it doesn't do the wood grain any justice IMO. Still think it turned out OK though.

Also, when I'm out in the garage on a nice day, I like to have it opened up, including the man door on the back that leads to the back yard. Well my dog also likes to spend time outside, so I figured I would build a gate for the garage opening so I can still leave both doors open while the dog is out back. It's just a single car garage, so I got a 4x8 sheet of lattice and built a cedar frame. Here's what I came up with....

Then I modified it, so it was more of a gate. It's now MUCH easier to pass through.....

It's secured by these eye hooks, which work well enough. I can set it up or remove it in seconds.

Working on Version 4 of my personal weather station.

Same sensors as my version 3, but a bigger display and more friendly microcontroller.

Going to 3D print the enclosure for it.

SD cards to illustrate size.

Awesome job!

The self made weather station. I took the easy way out and bought one years ago. It would be much more satisfying to have actually created one. Every completed DIY project comes with huge satisfaction imo.
This is my 4th one. They have gotten progressively smaller. Version 3 is in an electrical box and faceplate. Version 4 will be about 3/4 that size with a 3-D printed shell.

Right now i'm 3D printing a business card stand/base.

I built a bit of cedar fence in the past week. 64 linear feet, steel poles, PT stringers. I'll post a pic when I get a new photo hosting website.
Drunk neighbor tried to attack me in my own yard over the fence demo...:owquitit:
