I don't know what is going on with this team. From the start of the year through Charlotte, they had their crap together. They were contending for wins and 8th in points. But something has happened. These last 3 weeks might be the worst 3 week stretch I have seen from a driver and team. It is mind boggling. And they need to find a way to exercise those demons.

Jimmie Johnson finished 40th, 36th, 28th, and 40th, respectively, in the final four races of last years' regular season.

MWR's won the last two, so ya never know.
He has one top 5 and two top 10s in 17 career road course races with an average finish of like 22nd. Its going to be a bad week for him.

Fallen from 8th to 18th in the points in 3 weeks.

Fastest Toyota all weekend. I would say all is not lost, but Brian needs to get into Victory Lane. Starting to feel like a lot of his years......you know it's coming, but then it doesn't.

Incredibly laughable that my comment was removed, but not Jeffery00's. The hypocritical post nazis are at it again

I have faith in Brian.

The way he was running from Daytona through Charlotte was just such a nice thing to see. These last few races have been...not.

Being a fan of a driver like Vickers is different. Its not like being a JJ, Rowdy, Keselowski, or Kenseth fan where going into every race you have high expectations of taking the checkered. No, you just hope for a solid run and for your driver to be near the top at the end. Now that is not to say there aren't tracks where you have higher expectations for. Fontana is one where I go in with the high expectations. And you can still be very deflated after a poor run. I remember a few years ago at Phoenix when the #83 red bull car was the best by a mile, like 30 laps into it you had expectations for a W. And then Kenseth dumps him unprovoked. Atlanta, the #83 is faster than Kurt Busch and the #2 at every turn and the straight aways, he wasn't going to hold him off and a late caution comes out and bunches everyone up and completely takes away from the momentum. At Pocono where the #25 leads 70% of the laps and a duo of late cautions hands the victory to Carl Edwards. These types of instances hurt more because you can't look at it with the "get em next week" mentality.

Let's see...engine failure at Dover and early wreck at Michigan. Two of the three races can be attributed to simple racing attrition. Brian will make the Chase and win a race. If he has the setup MWR gave Bowyer and Truex the last two years he may very well win this weekend. Just be patient man.

Brian will never win the Chase, ever, IMHO.
He might win a race or two but that will be it. He does not have the consistency and he is too hotheaded, leading him to loose site of the big picture.

Not sure that those set ups are relevant with the 0 Ride Height. Will be interesting to see what impact if any the new rules have on the road courses.

If he does somehow win this year, I can guarantdamntee it wont be at flipping Sonoma. He is awful at Sonoma and road courses in general.

Don't be so sure. He finished 4th in 2012 and 13th last year with easily a top 5 car. MWR has owned the last two races here and 3 of the last 4 if you wanna count Ambrose in 2010 in an MWR satellite. With the new rules package the setups may be useless although downforce isn't nearly as important here.

At this rate Vickers is going to be in the 30s in points by the time the flipping Chase rolls around.

Don't give up on him yet. He had a great run going at a track he doesn't typically run well at and just got caught up in some BS.

He finished 14th. Good run for someone who is horrible at road courses. Barring the mess he was involved in, who knows? Chin up mate!

It'a really annoying to have to flip down a whole page because 2 people think they need 8x11 signatures. Now, I like when people have normal sigs, but some make it annoying
