Driver of the week

I have to go with Kasey.Kind of odd to see him at the end of the race up front and all the fenders on the car with the way his year has been going,

I thought the Biff did a good job. They were the class of the field for most of the race until night fell and they lost the handle. Don't think you can blame him for that.
Sure you can, the way that car was for 2/3 of the race he should of won, Bif didn't give his CC the right feedback to adjust on it IMO. I'll have to pick Kasey for DOTW, he and Francis seem to be getting closer to being a dominate team every week.

Biff had the same problem with his car for the 600 as he had for the All-Star Race when the track cooled off.CC should have had that problem figured out for the 600.

He's finished top 10 in each of the past 7 events so it shouldn't be too surprising.

I guess someone has to breakup the HMS love fest going on so I'll pick Biffle as DOTW for maintaining his point lead. Even though his CC dropped the ball again - as Mike said previously.

Joey Lagono. He was on top of his game since Wednesday, fast in practice, took the pole and was flawless all day and won the race. Jimmie did a good job recovering and Jeff and JR watched it all go by in their pit box.

lol Mark isn't too happy, but he and Joey are my drivers of the week. Joey did exactly the right thing, because there were laps left for Mark to come back and move him, but he was able to run after the bump.

Logano finally gets it done. I hope it was in time to save his ride, but I have a feeling that will take a chase spot if someone better becomes available to Home Depot.

Logano at Pocono! First driver to Win from the pole in How Long? On a freshly paved track, with Big Name drivers making mistakes on pit road he kept his head stayed in the Hunt and did what he had to Win. Nice Job Joey!

I'll admit I was pulling for Martin there at the end butt he made a mistake in three allowing Joey to close in then move him in one, Good Run Mark!

How about that Ruetti? First race out with a new team he qualified and finished in the Top 25 even after Three pit penalties! He also brought the car back with No Dents and the Radio was'nt used up.

2 wins in 125 races isn't exactly burning up the track.
His first "win" was a gimme, he just happened to be in front during pit stops, IIRC, when the skies opened up. This one win isn't going to change much in the overall picture of making HD happy and him keeping his job.

I am going to go with Clint Boyer DOTW. He has been getting it done all year and just quietly moves up each week.

Considering this thread is Driver of the Week, I vote Lagano. Set track record with pole position then won the race. Obviously had a great car too which is a requirement to make a driver look good. He also beat Mark Martin which is saying something.

Jimmy Johnson was sure impressive the last 30 laps too.

Dominant car, Great piece of driving and great support from the team.
Say it with me, y'all...

JOONYER!

I would go with Gordon this week, he took a pretty bad car to a 6th finish
Bad car? He went from 30th to the, lead. The car was awesome until the last run where they blistered a tire and got loose. (I was there listening to his scanner)

But he did drive very well per usual.

that's what's I mean, he qualified 30th, had his usually bad luck this year and still finished 6th

Since he actually was dominant all day; JR has to be the driver of the week.

Didn't sed a seperate thread so here is my pick for DOTW Daytona.

While Tony Stewart drove a great race and got Chevrolet back to the top at Daytona ( F••D had a streak going) I'm going with Jeff Gordon. He was in the middle of 3 big wrecks including the big one at the end and salvaged a 12th place finish.
