Driver of the week

Michael MacDowell or Stephen Leicht as both missed every wreck last night.

For Daytona has to be Tony Stewart! Qualify up front sent to the rear for the start and Race back to the front for the Win! And everyone says there was no passing in the race?

In every race , the winners have no trouble in getting to the front . The fact that the slower cars can't get there is Nascar's fault.

New Hampshire DOTW- Denny Hamlin. Lead all those laps got shuffled back to 13th after taking 4 tires late and finished second. He was one of the few to be able to pass. Glad he finished second though;)

Gotta go with Denny too. He drove the wheels off that car (literally) and put on a heck of a show.

Brad Keselowski. Makes a great move and wins the NW race after dominating all day. The drives from 22nd to 5th in the cup race at a tough to pass track.

Kahne made the right call at the critical time of the race, kept his car in the top 5 all day long, and after all he did win!

Kahne did not it with two tires.
Hamlin threw it away. Then he over drove, while Kahne was feathering the throttle and hitting his marks.

Track position as usual was everything, Hamlin used up his tires because he didn't communicate with his crew chief properly, so how can you say he was the best driver? If he had won came up through, didn't use his tires up and then passed Kahne....yeh sure I'd give to him, but that didn't happen.

Hamlin's miscommunication is one of the reasons I don't give him driver of the week. He did make an impressive run through the field and deserves credit for that.

But Kahne essentially stole one, I think in many cases that's were many seasoned drivers gets the Ws. This was bigger than typical, making the chase the 2nd win etc... He managed to stay disciplined and make his two tires last. He could have looked in his mirror, listened to lap times and panicked or over drove his tires out of the lead.

I think he won the mental or concentration contest.
