I don't now if this has been posted already or not as I am not going to read non-topic related posts that have nothing to do with this thread. These forums could use better moderation but enough of that.

Members of the print media were enraged to learn following today's race at Atlanta that second-place finisher Tony Stewart and highest-finishing rookie Jamie McMurray both blew off ther post race press conferences. McMurray said he had to catch a flight. It was announced McMurray was excused. Stewart said he had a previous engagement to attend. This comes on the heels of the Kansas race where second-place finisher Bill Elliott failed to appear before the media. NASCAR said after Kansas that fines could be imposed if it happened again. NASCAR's Jim Hunter went into the Winston Cup garage after the race today searching for Tony Stewart. The driver of the #20 Home Depot Chevrolet was nowhere to be found. Ironically while third-place finishing Jimmie Johnson, driver of the Lowe's Chevrolet, sat and fielded questions, Stewart, sponsored by Atlanta-based Home Depot quickly exited the premises. Hunter said he would look into the matter this week. Stewart did field an interview with TNT after the race

AVONDALE, Ariz. -- NASCAR plans to meet with Tony Stewart to discuss why he skipped the mandatory post-race press conference after the Bass Pro Shops MBNA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
NASCAR VP of Communications Jim Hunter said that he will try to talk to Stewart "as soon as he gets here" on Friday at Phoenix International Raceway.
Winston Cup cars are scheduled to practice at 12:20 p.m. ET.
Stewart finished second on Monday at Atlanta, but he skipped the post-race press conference, which includes the top three finishers as well as the top rookie.
Sometimes, drivers are excused from the press conferences, but Stewart didn't give an explanation as to why he skipped the one in Atlanta.
Hunter said that he will try to find out why.
"We have, from time to time, have to talk to drivers find out why, and try to make them understand what got us here," Hunter said.
"I don't think he'll give me an unsatisfactory response."
Bill Elliott, who finished second at Kansas four races ago, who was not punished after failing to show up at the post-race press conference.
