Either way she ran a smart race. She should do OK Sunday if she can avoid the mess.
 
It is a smart move letting go of the wheel. I've seen local races snap a wrist when they held on to it while hitting the wall.
 
Didn't watch the race but glad to see McDowell is in, and Waltrip is not.

He's wrong. They showed Edwards doing it during a NW wreck 2 years ago, and other drivers have mentioned it. I think it has something to do with the open wheel steering linkage being more likely to kick back, but these cars do it too.
 
FOX Networks director has some nerve to show an in-car camera before the window net goes down. Thank goodness for the COT and SAFER barrier.
 
That was a lot mellower than I thought it would be. Not much excitement though. I don't remember cars being so far apart in the pack.
 
Did he just say that Biffle was trying to lock in a spot where he'll start the 500?
 
What exactly happened to Michael Waltrip on that wreck ? Too sharp on the apron or what?
