Eldora - Let's go racing

Jon Wes looked like a fish out of water today! He gets my vote for first caution tomorrow night!

Austin, Ty, Newman and Ken Schrader worked the bottom and slide job practice quite a bit and in person it was apparent which drivers were completely lost and timid on dirt. They probably looked more powerful and faster in person than they did on TV. If you negatives don't like it then don't watch it but damn what a spectacle in person. And as a side note the Late Models put on a killer show, those boys can damn sure drive, the 20 was putting on a school splitting the line three wide until he was taken out with 4 to go by an accident in front of him. I cant wait until tomorrow.
I just saw the late model race. Damn! If the truck race is a fraction of what that was, it'll be fun. Hopefully some of the first time dirt trackers saw how awesome the late models were, and will start attending more of their local races now.

I'm afraid that there will be a lot of caution laps. BTW, does anyone know if they will be counting yellow laps? They're using a basic dirt track format, so just wondering.

Oh, BTW two: Fastest practice time last night was just barely faster than the 113th fastest qualifying time in the world 100 last September.

I thought he had to qualify first. No?

No. Qualifying sets the field for the heat races - just like every other dirt show and like Daytona.

I'm excited about the heat race format. NASCAR did this for the Late Model race at Daytona and they do it for the big Late Model race at Martinsville.

Yeah, well that would mean he has to do well enough in his heat race wouldn't it? He wouldn't advance to the feature then?
