Expanded Xfinity /cup schedule for Legge

I have nothing personal against Kat but her prime is way over and she's been a moving chicane at the best of times in all the oval races I've seen her in over the last 2-3 years. I don't think trying to learn how to race stock cars in your mid 40s by running Cup is best for anyone.

That is a no brainer. But as it goes, if you have the sponsorship, the team and are certified to race that is what you can do. I'm surprised the usual suspects haven't been around for Toni Breidinger so far this year.

As am I SOI. Maybe since she’s in trucks, the usual suspects don’t care as much? I dunno.🤷🏻‍♂️

Have you taken a good look at her?? I thought she was a teenager on a diet. lol

Just run the races, try to stay out of trouble and bring the car back in one piece should be the goal with that team and car. Just getting into the race is a big deal with what they have to work with.
Listening to her spotter/CC during the race they seemed to be fairly happy with her performance until it went bad. Felt she was getting pretty much all they had out of THAT car. So...and don't forget, she couldn't hear them under green. How she didn't get run over sooner is the mystery.

Wimins is fine in racing as long as they can get themselves into the race.
I didn't finish watching qualifying so didn't know she was that far off. Last I saw about half second slower than pole but likely some went much faster later that I missed. Ride buying has been in the sport for 50+ years. I don't have a problem with it.

Racing is expensive. Joey Gase surely can use the money the sponsor brings.

If people want to argue about whether or not the wreck was her fault or that of Sawalich's, none of that changes whether or not these are ideal situations for her or her legacy as a driver, TBH. But if she wants to do this and she has the money, then she will. I simply do not understand it at this stage of her career.

I don't think she's ready for Cup. SVG had a whole year in Xfinity, and he's been atrocious thus far. Sorry if I'm being harsh, but it's the truth.

I don’t know where the idea came from to run 44 year old Katherine Legge, with a background in open wheel and LeMans on road courses, in Cup and Xfinity races on some of the toughest ovals on the circuit. But this project needs to be shelved. She’s a weapon out there.

If shes serious about learning the craft she needs to go run some ARCA or Truck races on smaller tracks and figure some things out. She’s not remotely ready to be running tracks like Rockingham and Phoenix where she’s 15 mph off the pace and not able to stay out of the racing groove.

Trotting her out there at Talladega next week is a genuinely awful idea.

I don’t think her interview with Pockrass was a good look. I hope she either withdraws from Talladega or NASCAR steps in and say she needs more experience before racing there. I had hoped she would do well, but this is setting up to be one of the greatest flops in NASCAR history.

Mostly, but she was ridiculously slower than everyone else so she gets some of the blame too.
Uh, what about the other cars that were running slower than she was. Are they exempt because they have hairy legs? She was a second or two faster than they were but ya know, they got the owners provisional, and a car that made it in on time was bumped?

I don't know, maybe those hairy leg guys have more experience at being slow? You can't just jump into these things and overnight become an experienced back marker. :)

It can't be any planer. Legg was ran into by a JGR driver who was 24th in the owner points standings. All he could see was the end of a rope at hatchet Joe's and his career in Xfinity. He way over drove it into the corner. Laid on the brakes and had no where to go. Then he lies and says Legg was at fault. Trouble is the visual proof doesn't lie.

I'm not talking about qualifying, I'm talking about the wreck.

Im agreeing with you that sawalich was mostly at fault, but like normal you just have to keep arguing that you are 100% correct but everybody here knows you have TDS (Toyota derangement syndrome) and aren't always correct even though in your head you have never been 1% wrong about anything.

Now it is time to attack lol. Anybody that wasn't prejudiced could see the reality of what happened with the info provided that I posted and with their own eyes. Facts and visual proof. Crying is optional, learning something would be a miracle.
