NASCAR wouldn't allow a tire change until the pace car gathered up the field.

That isn't the issue, as F1 procedures have been consistent on that point. It's the way they released only some lapped cars after saying they wouldn't, and rushed the restart to produce that finish.

We're definitely in "Give the fans a show" territory here.

That was very entertaining though, the season was amazing. Hopefully 2022 will be even better in terms of competition, I hope everyone involved has a wonderful off-season.
 
I'm not impressed, but this will continue to increase casual interest and build drama into next year.
 
Michael Masi needs to resign or be fired. He can’t keep his job.
 
Also, Honda goes out with a bang with a WDC to their name.

To see their progression from 2015 at McLaren is amazing to see, also can we give more love to Gehard Ber.... I mean Carlos Sainz? What a fantastic race from him today.
