Yeah, God forgive me should I ever agree with Andy, but this IS a story...
A story about yet another great-diversity push went awry.
This is Nascar's fault in general ,even if maybe-maybe not in this specific case.. You simply don't make money off of stars-and-bars waving good ol' boys for fifty years and then simply switch dance partners in mid-step by tossing out free brightly colored Nascar jackets in predominately black neighborhoods and pretending you have every hoop-shooter in west Birmingham lined up to drive for you.
Hypocritical action at it's finest, as Nascar's great token hunt continues......
Sure, black/hispanic/gay future sprint cup champions in the hood/barrio/suburbs, those rich white dudes that made money for half a century off of pure redneck americana give a rat's ass about you...
They give a rats ass,that is, about you spending your money on a sport that's losing it's traditional fan base and needs to replace it pronto.
