Finally the Daytona 500 Race Thread

Yeah -it wasn't Acquious Fuel Forming Foam (AFFF - A triple F)...as we used in the Navy to fight jet fuel fires...it was TIDE..."get's the stains out". Haha.
 
This has most definitely the strangest Speedweeks I've ever seen... I will see you all tomorrow.

Nope no news yet. I see this race running way past midnight, there will have to be at least one GWC, probably more.
 
NASCAR says the driver of the jet dryer truck is okay and resting at a local hospital. No doubt he'll be interviewed by everyone and their mother tomorrow.

Actually there is a very good chance that he was seriously burned....nascar says whatever is in their best interest and will pay off later.

Why would they interview him, he's never won a race..even at a local track!

Just heard they are pulling out leaf blowers, on the officials channel, for those of you that seem to think that's the answer.

Hate to say it but you're probably right. At least we know he's still among the living. I hope he pulls through with no major injury. Would suck to have a "dream job" where you can be at the track every week and have it come to an end because of a freak accident.

I know one thing, assuming he comes back to work he'll never drive one of those trucks without begin paranoid whenever a race car comes by him. I bet he will check the mirrors constantly after this.
