I don't see how it's the classic "old fan v. new fan" deal at all. It's a scoreboard, and they took a giant step back with it. At the moment, we can't see how quickly the car that short-pitted is gaining on the rest of the field or even who's in the free pass position. It's a classic case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
 
I always hated the scrolling leader board, I could never watch it long enough to find what I was looking for. The new one is better, I can see more than 3 drivers at a time. They could probably just list the positions and car numbers along the side of the screen just like the pole at the track.

I give FOX credit for one thing - at least they realize they have more space to work with. They could probably show five positions on the top of the screen at a time if they go back to a traditional scroll.

Also, I would kill someone for a 3 day weekend stay in one of those RV's on the backstretch.

There aren't any questions asked prior to being selected as a member of the Fan Council so it should be a pretty good cross section of fans. Looks like the fans have spoken and there's been some sort of reaction. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I signed up for it and haven't received anything back. Approx 2-3 months ago. Someone had told me it might take awhile.

only problem with that is it doesn't have the blinking stick n ball ticker crap down on the bottom telling us who broke what. I don't freakin care at this point, put the blinking junk down at the bottom, lets see positions and split times behind the leader you bunch of dummies..it wasn't broke, didn't need a "new" idea.

That graphic was pitiful and there were only about 24 cars at a time racing. Wasted space. I had the clunky Nascar leader board running on the side.
 
victory lane show survives .....on fs1....post race / plus rerun pm....this 500 race at least.
