I know what you're saying Greg . There is something unethical about it , and you can be sure the the four Hendrick cars will use it to their advantage on Sunday . My point is , if we go back and find a video of Dale Sr drafting with a teammate , is this the same discussion ? Or is it just another Danica thing.

I can only think of one case were Dale was supportive of team cars. He never seemed happy to have a teammate, thinking back to the Skinner 31 car.
 
Aw crap, there were only about 19 cars running, many damaged, and they all had made the race, like this was a real race or something? Don't think so, they all weren't going for it..nothing to gain.

ha.ha. so true . Dale wasn't a real good teammate , Rusty was worse . I can't really remember a good teammate situation . Were Bobby and Davey teammates at one time? Or Bobby and Donnie ?
 
As is common these days one driver (Hamlin) hit/bumped another driver (Patrick) in a place where you cannot do so without something bad happening. So from that definition the blame for this incident falls in Hamlin's lap.

As far as the post race crap goes that stuff should be handled privately but I also think communications between driver and team should be scrambled and unavailable to the masses.

If she would stay off the brakes and stay up with the pack, she wouldn't be spinning like a top. Another case of a slower car holding up a faster one, got to push them to a clear spot to get around them...it's go time. restrictor plate racing.
 
Danica gets wrecked and she's suppose to just take it I guess, but last year Brad was wrecking everyone and each and every single time you all was happy to see him get a crewing out. Kyle does something, happy to see him get a crewing out. Oh hey someone wrecks Danica she better just keep her mouth shut!

It's going to happen a lot on Sunday . You can't get to the front without a push , but some pushes go bad fast . Nobodys fault , just plate racing . It'll happen , with or without Danica in the race . Driver's will get mad for the cameras but they know the score.

I just wanna point out that with 20 to go, KyBu was locked to JJ's bumper all the way to the exit of turn 2 & with 11 to go, Truex jr sucked up to the bumper of Hamlin in the middle of the turn. Not a problem.

Logano pushes Harvick into the turn = issue
Hamlin pushes Patrick into the turn = issue.

Driver preference. Car set up. Racing deal. Period.

It is one thing to root a car up out of the way at a short track and something completely different to nerf a car at an RP track taking out a bunch of other cars. If your car is faster then just pull out and go around him/her and if you can't do it wait for help.

Davey drove for Yates his entire cup career, and was never a cup teammate with his Dad. I am sure Bobby provided some unofficial guidance.
If Bobby and Donnie were ever Cup /GN teammates it would have been early on in the 60s before my time. I would be surprised if it ever happened.

The biggest pout I ever recall over getting an unwanted teammate was when Junior Johnson added Neil Bonnet to his stable. Warren Hodgen was invested in some way I don't remember the all the details but it was a tie end for Bonnet. Darrell Waltrip had been the only driver for the single car operation and was at the top of his game, with two titles for Johnson a few seasons before. DW was a different person back then (sometimes I think aliens abducted the original and replaced him with something sweeter). He hated having a teammate.

Petty Enterprises probably did the best with teammates in the 70s. They won the 500 with Pete Hamilton. and Buddy Baker was fast in some of those cars. But those deals didn't last long.

yep, happened all night long..ALL night long..going to happen all day long Saturday and with 20 to go? all hell will break loose if it hasn't already. But whatever ya do, don't touch the ten the skill level isn't there. 4 laps to go and the 10 is backing up

Wrong. I know a racing deal from a bonehead deal when I see one. This was 100% a racing deal. Happens every plate race. If I cussed out every driver thats moved or spun Jeff outta the way I'd hate nearly every driver out there.

Agreed as huge wrecks are part of the farce known as RP racing. As far as pushes going bad you cannot push someone in a corner and expect good things to happen. Even I know that but many Nascar drivers think they can deny physics and punch a driver in a corner and expect him/her to maintain traction.

I guess everyone see's things different out there, I mean to me you know how to handle yourself in the turns, it happened to Kevin the other night, Danica last night. HEY! maybe it's just the SHR cars that can't be touched in the turn since they get loose like that and NO other driver does.

Other people puch Danica (especially the 41) and she doesn't spin or get loose or wreck. But Denny is apparently delusional when it comes to the contact he's making with her car. He has single handedly destroyed 2 good SHR race cars. Payback is going to be fun to watch.

You DanicaDefenders need to calm tf down. So freaking defensive for no real reason.. There is no arguement to be had. Hamlin dumped DP plain and simple. No one is saying otherwise as far as I can tell.

Yeah we're all going to look at this thing differently. Me, I'm glad she made it to the big show on Sunday. Overrated, I don't think so. That seems to be a common thing to say among her detractors. I thought it was pretty cool to see her get back up to that position to qualify for the 500 with Kurt Busch's help. That was teamwork to make that happen.

Her and Denny's little altercation after the race. Priceless. Some great race promotions will come from that short video for the upcoming season. It's funny how we all seem to want these drivers show some emotion but the moment that they do many seem to have a problem with it. I love it. Bring on some more.

I see a problem with people thinking she shouldn't had went and talked to Denny, all drivers go and do it when they have a problem with a driver yet since it's Danica they are acting as if she shouldn't have did anything.
 
I have to give that little fireball Danica a ton of credit, she knew what happened and so did Hambone. His story sure changed after Smoke showed up and told him to watch the tape.
 
In all seriousness, I was glad to see Danica get as mad as she got. Women in this sport have to stand up for themselves or they'll keep getting pushed around. There's a reason people don't **** with Johanna Long.
 
You bring up a good point Greg . I don't think I've ever really noticed teammates drafting at a plate race before . Should Danica be fined for this or Kurt?

I remember when Bayne won the 500, he and Gordon worked well with each other all day. At the next plate track there was an effort to team up with cars of the same manufacturer. I don't care for team orders.
 
Just saw the vid of the last few laps. what Kurt did was what you do on a plate track. Without friends who will draft with you on a plate track you would never win.

Many of today's fans who only know DW from the booth and don't realize he was the bad guy "Jaws" prior to driving for Rick Hendrick.
