Most of what I read had been beaten into the ground last year. Aegis labs and Dr. Black and all.

I may just leave for a while. I try to keep this place where people can come and have differing views without fearing that their integrity will be attacked. Perhaps I'm expecting too much.

NOT DIRECTED AT ONE PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL..........I think the ones that it describes will know who they are............

Maybe if some of you took more time to think about what you are going to say instead of being the keyboard warriors you can be when you get hot under the collar because someone has a different opinion than you, that these posts and/or complete threads would not have to be edited and/or removed. We wouldn't have to warn you either!

As far as being part of the forum more, I'm sorry that I have a full time job and cannot play around on the forum all day. I help out on this forum voluntarily. I've already raised my kids, I didn't think I'd need to have to raise more "children" on this forum.

Folks, as you were taught at a young age (or at least should have been in my honest opinion), once a word is spoken, it cannot be taken back. Although we mods may be able to remove the typed words from the forum, we can't wipe them from the mind of someone who was upset by them.

I do try to troll the forum as best I can throughout the day to catch the BS as it happens.

Some people make that job more difficult than others.
 
I saw a spirited discussion between those who have a high level of faith in science and those who administer the test, and those that see cracks and have doubts.

I don't know what to think about this. A deleted thread isn't too important, especially because it was Andys and not mine. ;)

All I know for sure is that my prayers are with you, TRL, and your husband.

I to work a full time job serving and protecting the city I live in and also a single father to a 17 month old boy. So I'd like to think when I do spend time on a forum that it might be respected by those who run it.

I think that lays more on respect and civility of the others on the forum, and not of us admins. We just take the garbage to the curb when necessary. I'm probably the most lenient of the group, but I throw stuff to the curb on rare occasion. When a thread gets to being 50 or 60 or 70% garbage, it's better off to haul the whole thread to the curb than swiss-cheese the topic.
 
The way it is: I enjoy the people who come on here and banter back and forth, but I don't own it. It's on loan to us. Sometimes we get out of hand, and the easiest way for a mod with better things to worry about to handle it is to delete the entire mess rather than go through complaint and post 1 by 1.

So, we start over and tone it down a little. What's the big deal? Lets not act like our constitutional rights have been violated. I'll restart the thread so we can just move on.

I don't think ANY of the mods/admins have disrespected anyone. The general posters here do enough of that to each other and we have to clean it up.

I hardly ever get to get on here anymore. I cut grass for 14 hours yesterday. My "Available grip Meter", needs a rebuild. I dang near stuck it in a patch of poision Ivy trying to play the "Minimum grip for the corer" game.

Yes, Lawnmowing is just like racing, just 10000 miles a day instead of 400.

TRL, I have been where you are. In 2006, ovarian cancer was taking my wife's life.
It's a deplorable situation to be in.
You have my empathy and my sympathies.

You just may be but it's hardly your fault.

People get so wrapped up in these discussions and I'm willing to wager a weeks paycheck that as this election draws nearer, the worse it's going to get.

The tactics used to discuss a subject in the main forums get carried over from the podium cesspit and would make almost any politician proud.

The M.O. is as clear as day; If you disagree with me, I'll attack you personally and than cry foul when you do it to me.

Blame, blame and more blame. Is there a reason why personal attacks can't be handled through PM's or do we need everyone on the forum to help us believe that we've won an INTERNET ARGUMENT???

The thread had already cleaned up and warnings were given. A mod just came in and nuked it anyways. Stuff happens.

But does it really matter in the grand scheme? Its just us dorks bickering about NASCAR whilst enjoying the confines of our cozy NASCAR bubble.:)
