Homestead Cup

Inside or outside I just want to see Brad get that extra point real quick.
Now seeing how Brad will be in a Ford next year maybe Ambrose will show him some courtesy.

I don't think we'll see much action other than on restarts. After 10 green flag laps they'll all be rim riding single file.

GO Tweety Bird!!!

Cheering for Brad K, but hoping for excitement. Jimmie Johnson needs Keselowski to have Will Power-like bad luck.

I think ESPN is trying to play mind games with Brad K now.

Nicole Briscoe (paraphrasing): Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon won their first championships in their third season. You're in your third season, how does that make you feel?

Brad K handled it like a champ (no pun intended) but seems like they're trying to pile it on.

Flipping between this and the Jacksonville game because Jacksonville didn't show up today and, as a result, are actually winning a game.

Briscoe got that wrong. Earnhardt won his first championship in his second season.

Yeah, you're right now that I think about it. Well, Earnhardt did run one race in 1977 so I guess they're counting that as a "season".

Imagine if Brad had stayed with JR Motorsports. He'd likely still be Nationwide full time.

There's an alternate realty somewhere where Brad K is still driving the #51 Phoenix Racing car in Cup.

Speaking the old days, anybody remember when Jimmie used to drive the Excedrin car for Herzog in Busch? All I remember from those days is his crazy crash at Watkins Glen when his throttle stuck open.

I bet Hendrick's really regretting Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski go when all he has to show for it right now is Jr (a cash cow, that's about it) and Kasey Kahne (who hasn't done, well, anything).

Gordon ran one race in 1992.

Yeah. And I checked on racing-reference and Earnhardt ran a handful of races between 75-77. So they're really stretching the Earnhardt-Gordon-Keselowski connection.

I also find it a little interesting that Nicole Briscoe is on ESPN right now talking about how great Roger Penske is when he just fired her husband from his IndyCar ride. Must be no hard feelings there.

It's gonna be ******* sweet if Brad Keselowski wins and Emperor Hendrick eats crow realizing he should've made the effort to keep Brad around! :XXROFL:

I like you more and more every day. :D

I enjoyed this comment by Brad today. Reporters tell him JJ says he just doesn't understand this isn't just another race, and he'll feel the pressure and it may affect his race. "It just shows that Jimmie doesn't know me, and that's to my advantage". Funny thing though, JJ had been on and said not understanding who Brad is makes this championship his toughest.

Yeah, Brad K is handling everything way more confidently than Denny Hamlin was two years ago.

You can tell it in the cadence in Keselowski's voice, he's confident.

He's really surprised me, because I wasn't sure he was ready this year. It seems he's more than ready mentally, and he's still getting better as a driver. He'll be a force to contend with for years to come.

I have a feeling he and Paul will make those Fords real contenders next year.

I'm excited about this race but I can't un-glue myself from the Jacksonville/Houston game.

I live in Wisconsin. I have friends who are casual NASCAR fans, some even hardcore NASCAR fans. Texted around, seeing if anybody getting pumped about this Homestead race. Unfortunately, nothing else exists in Wisconsin until the Packer game is over.

As a Jaguars fan, I can honestly say I VERY RARELY get to enjoy an actual football game. Normally I'm cussing up a storm and threatening to burn stuff.

Man, did Keselowski look bad at the green flag. It looked like Ambrose and Edwards had 50 more horsepower than the #2.

I think he knew better than to race hard on a fresh track. He'll just go to work on his line and the car.

These Homestead races are usually painful to watch. I hope Gordon catches up to Bowyer. ;)

I hope he does too, right as Brad is near enough to be a hood ordament! ;)

I hope Brad loses on his own. That's only way this would be a good title for JJ

Maybe the Dream Crusher Jeff the KNIFE Gordon will teach Brad a lesson like he did Bowyer?
