Homestead Cup

Indeed, there's always next year. I don't think Johnson is done winning championships.
I don't think there is one person out there who thinks he is done winning championships. He's too good of a driver.

With Jeff's win today, Kentucky is the only track that Jeff has raced on in the Cup series that he hasn't won. Quite an accomplishment!

move of the race:

Keselowski pouring beer over the head of the Sprint girl just as the post race interview began

i've been waiting for that all year

He just wanted to help her start getting wasted so he could have a proper championship celebration.

I wonder how Carl Edwards feels about Brad winning a championship before him.
Don't be a dickhead. We all know that luck plays a part in a sport as competitive as NASCAR Cup Series. It takes a complete team effort for the entire season along with a taste of good luck to win one of these things.
I'm looking forward to next year. My Ford boys collectively earned a lot of points and won some good races.
I have 98 days to get my head into next year's nascar season.

...and change your avatar. ;)

I just thought you might like a champion to go with that Ford.
I'm going to be happy to welcome "Brad who" to the Ford camp.
It will be interesting to see what the new year will bring. Will Roger get his own engine deal going or will he go Roush/Yates?
Early on I didn't think Brad had it in him. Brad proved me wrong and proved that he and his team had what it took to beat the HMS powerhouse. I'm going to Jones for stock car racing for 3 months, then I'm going to pull for my Ford drivers to kick Chevrolet ass in 2013.

Everyone said, in 1995, that Earnhardt would win an eighth.

Everyone said, in 2002, that Gordon would win a few more.

...but nobody said they wouldn't win 2. Brad refuses to go backwards, and he has Roger all in. I think he'll win 2 or more championships and a ton of races over the next 10 years.

You make a real good point here Andy...I do think that JJ is a little different as he is staying in the title picture solidly every year..but that could change next year...who knows

On a side note, I have not read the entire thread (I apologize, I had company all evening) anyone see Kes on Sports Center...he was almost three sheets to the wind! lol

Or better yet what Kurt feels like. You know he wanted a Championship in the Blue Deuce BAD.

I thought this EXACT same thing today...Kurt thought, heck still thinks, that he is the MAN...HA!

Also had the thought about wonder how Carl feels about it...I even wonder how Jr. feels about it considering he gave Kez his break into Nationwide series..

I wonder how Kurt feels knowing he mouthed himself out of a chance to ever contend for a championship again.

According to Roger, after Kurt left he told Brad he had to be the leader and that was their turning point for the organization.

Could have been posted elsewhere but if not.....

He was running on fumes in that interview. The nascar victory lane and sportcenter interviews were great, but this one was painful.

Jimmie showed amazing class during the NVL appearance. Good guy. I hope those 2 are batteling for the cup the next few years.
