Couple things going on in this pic. It's 1970, Jerry Richer is in the #2 Ford Powered Car, Ed Provo is in the #8 Chevy powered car. At the end of the 1969 season Jerry sold Ed the #8 car leaving him without a ride. .Wes Beckett from Soo, Canada let him use his #2 car for the 70 season. Jerry was a diehard Chevy guy and Wes liked Ford power.

This was a very rare diecast car. Very few made it to the public. I chanced upon one at a clearance shelf at K-Mart, bought it for 5-6 bucks. Sold it to a dealer for a $100.

So true, it’s a letdown he didn’t race his whole career in the 8 Budweiser scheme. Truly iconic for its time.

Car #47 is one of the famous clandestine factory backed 57' Chevy Black Widow cars. Despite some well done fakes, there does seem not to be ANY original survivors.
