Another guy I used to watch back in my teen age years. Don Benoit. Don was deaf and tuned his car by placing his hand on the engine and tuned it by the feel. Don built this particular car in his garage. About 10 years ago his daughter found it , bought it back, and returned it to Don. Don then rebuilt it bck to it's former glory. 40 some years later he is still racing it in the Vintage Modified series.
