Some people just don't understand. Danica is money regardless of where she finishes, Kevin has Budweiser so Ryan had to be let go.

Not a Newman fan but today I was. Good story and he has a good shot at making the chase on a wildcard spot. I think SHR has found their speed and will be force the rest of the way.

Best car did win btw.. Johnson couldn't catch Newman.

Oh I dont think you can say that with a serious face.

Jimmie had by far the fastest best car. That is not to say Newman didn't have the second best however.

He hired him out of friendship. I'd say Tony has done plenty for Newman.

This is a business. Most of you know nothing of how one is run so I wouldn't be too quick to judge.

There were many times today that when Jimmie was out front Newman was pulling off faster times than him. Just because Jimmie was out front most of the race doesn't always mean he was the fastest. I think between the both of them they knew that who got out front last was probably going to win.

True. That's mostly the case with any driver leading since theu introduce this new car.

You can pretty much take a barely top 15 car and if you get it upfront you'll have a great chance at winning.

Brian Scott proved it yesterday. I believe if that track wasn't so massive he would have won that race.

Working it for the camera is what is insulting to us and Newman I'm sure.
I noticed Smog spoke a lot but Newman didn't say boo.

I think you guys are both right. Who knows how little sponsors were paying to be on Newman's car, how much are how little it was costing the team to keep Newman on the payroll? Was it just Greed? Tony is buddies with Harvick and Delana also. Don't know if Bud was coming with Kevin, satisfied with being with Childress or they were all for Kevin moving. Don't hear any problems with the 10 car, which I have no way of proving, but Hendrick made that deal go down IMO. Probably getting part of the cut, discounts of engine rentals..who knows. At any Rate, business overcame friendships. The fickle world of sponsorships and moneyo_O
