IS KDB/KFB melting down?

Was he was interviewed after the race? If so I missed it. Sure to become a classic if he was.

No.

Race teams have bad seasons. Another repetitive personality / Oprah thread isn’t going to stop that.
Yup. The 18 team isn't a dynastic team. Kyle has years like this from time to time. He hasn't gone winless before, but he's had a one win season with no playoffs before.

Brad had one win and sucked after his championship year. It happens.

Kyle has many bad years, this isn't new. He has 4 seasons with only one win.

Earnhardt Sr. had 6 years with one win or less (where he ran full or nearly full-time).

It happens.

Kyle ain't my favorite but I must have missed the 2020 melt down(s).
He is definitely struggling but that is part of competition and that does not constitute a meltdown.
As much as I enjoy it all I know it is temporary, and I do not want regret overstating matters when things change.

He looked like Danica Patrick out there
Hey! no need to disgrace Danica like that. Especially after she just went through a breakup. All though it does look like she is handling it pretty well. :)

Wasn’t that Penske’s first year back with Ford? Little different scenario.

My point is that just because you are a championship team, doesn't mean it's impossible for you to miss it. Kyle isn't in trouble, there isn't some drama or issue that we are missing. The 18 team is just having a bad year.

Forum pundits fired Denny Hamlin after his lone winless season in 2018 ... it was a bad year for he and his team.

He's won 11 races since then. Post number 1 tells you everything you need to know about why this thread is here.

Yes. He is melting down, and will never win again.

Probably not, but it may well happen some day and this is what it will look like.
He'll recover. I'd like to think he has a couple more Championships on his horizon.

Probably, but I remember when everybody was saying the same thing about Jimmie Johnson. It happens sooner or later to almost everybody. Kyle is still young, but in terms of races run, he's old. It will be curious to see if age catches up with him faster than some of the others.

It was too hot for that Snickers bar so yeah he melted down. Should be fun to watch at Dover, he seems to have a love affair with the wall up in the North East.

Florida weather is pretty predictable so we know 1 of 4 guys will win it.

Except that 16 guys get a shot at being one of the four, which is about 12 more than have earned it. Not to kick a dead horse, but if you can win 35 straight races and finish second in the 36th and STILL lose the championship, your system is flawed.

The man moves the needle. No question about that. So fun to watch those who aren't fans, obsess. Kyle will be fine. Just fine.
