Jr's win a fluke?

Looked to me like a very good car, the right calls from the box and zero pit screw ups combined to win the race.

I watched Jr go sideways next to Ambrose, and he never let off the gas or touched Marcos. That was one sweet pass. The boy is driving hungry, and he's already thinking about his next win. That was one of the coolest post race media sessions I've seen in a long time. He's a down to earth superstar who's been through some rough times in nascar. It's great to see him drive to a win like that.

I didn't bother reading that link. Junior has been a contender quite a bit this year. Anyone who's watched all the races this season and anyone with a lick of sense would know that.

I wasted my time reading it. The guy who wrote it has no real knowledge of nascar at all. If he does have knowledge, then he is blind, or a liar.

The more I see Dale, Jr., race and the more I hear him speak, the more I am becoming a fan. I never cared for his father but this young man seems to have his head on straight and has proven himself. This win was not a fluke and for a anyone to consider it as such, the response could only be they are a Junior hater or they don't know **** about racing. But, then that's just my thought on the situation. FWIW, that opinion and $1.50 will buy a cuppa coffee in just about any diner in the country.

The "fluke" was that Jr hadn't won in four years. I think he finally has cleaned his plate off and is ready to do some racing.

I wouldn't call his win a "fluke", however, I wouldnt call the winless streak a "fluke" either. To not win in four straight years there is something wrong other than it is just a "fluke", he either hasn't had his head in it, hasn't been in good equipment..something...that long of a winless streak is about as much of a fluke as his win was...

So what exactly are you saying about my man Jeff Gordon ?

LOL...nothing. If he goes four years without winning, I will say, yeah something is REALLY wrong. I think he has just truly had the worst run of bad luck I have ever seen anyone have this season..but I doubt that run will last all year, let alone four.

He made his own luck at Talladega. We was running behind Earnhardt when the big one started. Jr checked up, and slowed, and Jeffy, with all the time in the world, punched it, and got T-boned by the car coming down the track. That was him making a mistake. The rest have been just flat out bad luck...

I won't argue with that at all, but that is one race surrounded by one heck of a run of bad luck that...

He now has the Longest Losing Streak at Hendricks :D

Yeah, but with Jr. and Kahne on board, I bet that stat will change in the near future.....

Too bad that miserable prick tony had to be the fly in the ointment yesterday. I fully expected to see Tony over there 1st congratulating him. Guess he's getting old and crotchity in his old age. He didn't have to give a congrats to Dale, but he certainly could have reserved his sarcasm for someone a bit more deserving. I lost some respect for tony yesterday.

So Tony is suopposed to be happy just because the most popular driver won? I'm happy for Junior, but I'm not always happy about who won each week. Everyone has different opinions on drivers, and if Tony doesn't like that Junior won, oh well.

I for one wasn't happy about the #88 winning as I wanted the #17 to win - as I do every race.

I think Tony was being his usual sarcastic self.
