Me too....but just shows that this discipline is nothing to sneeze at.
Totally agree. After the SVG win, days like today bring it back to reality that our regulars are indeed highly skilled specialists, and that outsiders can't just come in and kick their teeth in at their own game.

I was very, very, very wrong.

Dale Jr and @Revman had me drinking the cool aid. He was a mess out there today lol glad he wants to come back.

Seems like he spent the day trying to push the limit of the car, rather than race. That spin into turn 1 was the second funniest moment of the race.

Funniest being Logano going full Logano in turn 1.

Both Kamui and SVG got their Welcome to Nascar today. Kamui got Stenhoused, and SVG blocked Bowman and Bowman promptly moved him out of the way.

Wow, not much from you huh? I'm guessing even you were a bit surprised by his performance then lol

Not completely surprised, but mission accomplished anyway really. When the execs come from Japan, and Kamui says he wants to come back, that is good for Toyota's continued participation in the sport. Toyota's target when they entered was merely to participate. That was enough. They wanted to be part of the NASCAR conversation. This exercise shows me that they are still very much wanting that conversation. Great for Toyota, and great for the sport.

....and SVG dished it today by turning Ty....and screwing with his playoff shot. My understanding is that Ty let him know that he thinks SVG is Number 1 after the race. Welcome indeed.

IIRC, wasn't that the incident where Logano breaked like 3 car lengths deep, spun himself into Blaney, who hit SVG, who then hit Ty?

Not making excuses for the guy, but I'm pretty sure that was one of those accordion effects restarts.

After further review, SVG did not ruin Ty Gibbs playoff hopes. Don’t hate cuz SVG is in a Chevy @Revman
